He was found quilty by the jury, the conviction was entered into the record and the sentence was "unconditional discharge" meaning the guility conviction stands but no fine or prison time was levied.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. today announced the all-count trial conviction of DONALD J. TRUMP, 77, for falsifying New York business records in order to conceal his illegal scheme to corrupt the 2016 election. TRUMP was convicted by a New York State Supreme Court jury of 34 counts of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree. He is expected to be sentenced on July 11.

That is not true. Trump was sentenced on the 34 felonies. I’m a lifelong Republican and I’ve voted for Trump three times, but I’m not going to jump on board when you throw out lies. Trump was sentenced on January 10, 2025 for the 34 felonies. The sentence was an unconditional discharge. Basically that’s a New York speak for we ain’t gonna do nothing this time.

Not true, Trump was sentenced on the 34 felonies. Judge Juan Merchan sentenced him on January 10, 2025. The case is over. He didn’t get any time nor any probation. He just got a sentence of an unconditional discharge.
They made the right call because these were the most embarrassingly weak "convictions" I've ever seen.
Meanwhile, Democrats will let people out of prison who've committed heinous violent crimes and they commit them again.
What a complete joke of a system by a complete joke of a party.

Trump is a convicted felon. It doesn’t really change anything for him. He had to turn over his pistol and his permit, so what? He’s got an armed Secret Service detail around him at all times. He doesn’t lose his right to vote because he was convicted in New York which allows felons to vote after their sentence is over.

Case was dropped which means the conviction overturned... It was a trumped up bullcrap charge and you know it... so did the apelet courts.... too bad you lost... boo hoo for you...
The 34 counts in New York were not dropped. Trump was convicted and sentenced.

Everyone knows that it was a political witch hunt. They bumped 34 out of statute misdemeanors up to Class E felonies. No one goes to prison for Class D felonies in New York, let alone Class E. They thought a conviction would get Harris the White House. It failed.
I don't know ... they're a nasty, vindictive, violent lot.
They may still press these fake charges to the very end.
