I hope what I posted didn't give the impression that I have anything but disgust for the KKK, or for Sanger. I merely pointed out what I saw as a child in my once racist little town. 40% of families getting assistance have jobs, just not ones that put food on the table. Most of the rest are disabled or retired
Most people on welfare are only on it for a few years.

Being born to an unmarried mother does not mean you are going to be on welfare. In fact, most unmarried women have the biological father in the child's life.

Marriage has fallen out of favor in general because, at the end of the day, it's just a ceremony that doesn't have a lot of meaning, but does have legal consequences.
