Why Do Democrats Want Social Security To Go Bankrupt?

Duh, Medicare will be bankrupt shortly, and SS will not pay promised benefits in 2034.
That says, yes they are "broken" and need to be fixed ASAP.

I'm glad that brain-damaged Fetterman is in the Senate instead of that brilliant surgeon Dr. Oz to fix Medicare.
Promised benefits 12 years out? Do you have that is writing? ;)

Your post seems to assume that SS & Medicare are not "fixable", i.e. beyond repair.
1. SS is easily "fixed", just google "social security fixes"
2. Medicare is a tougher fix, but there are fixes to pick from. Google "Medicare fixes". Medicare is the more urgent fix, time is short.
Most problems are easily fixed, once you take the politics out of them.

When Republicans talk about solutions to shore up the program
That's NOT what Republicans are doing. Republicans are talking about how to SCREW the people out of SS benefits by jacking up the retirement age so high most people DIE before collecting a dime of THEIR money. Does their SS contributions go to their heirs? Of course not, congress confiscates all OUR money.

Now if Republicans want to talk about cutting the shit out of other government spending and all their f'ing PORK shit to repay the trillions in SS contributions they stole and spent I'm all ears.

Actually, it doesn't need fixing yet. Both parties are using fear-mongering over it however.
If it's headed towards Insolvency then it does, indeed, need fixing, doesn't it? The object of the exercise is to never reach that point, isn't it?

The program needs fixing. As people live longer it only makes sense to raise the retirement age. Hell, that's already been done before. One day soon we will be living past 100 on a regular basis. We don't need people on SS for 40 years. The left always seem to be about the government paying people for not working.

My SS benefit is adjusted twice a year. That's a pretty fast response to changes in my benefit profile. The SS administration can act quickly on most issues, however the Congress has oversight. That's where the gridlock happens. The parties oppose each other's ideas, the fight goes public, and everyone panics.

Democrats have done absolutely nothing to save social security from going bankrupt, which is expected to happen by 2035. When Republicans talk about solutions to shore up the program so that it doesn't go bankrupt, Democrats attack Republicans, claiming that Republicans want to get rid of social security. But, Republicans are not the ones standing idly by waiting for the program to go bankrupt. They're actually trying to figure out ways to save it. So, why do Democrats want Social Security to go bankrupt?
Next time, before you write a thread out of abject and or willful ignorance, pull your head out of your ass first.

With 13 years until Social Security’s funds are projected to run out, Washington Democrats have some proposals to strengthen the program

7 changes Americans are willing to make to fix Social Security — including one with ‘overwhelming bipartisan support’

There are just 13 years before Social Security may not be able to pay full benefits, according to a recent annual report from the program’s trustees.

In 2035, just 80% of benefits will be payable if Congress doesn’t fix the program sooner.

Shoring up the program will generally mean raising taxes, cutting benefits or a combination of both. Democrats have floated several proposals to increase benefits and raise taxes, including one House bill they hope to bring up for a vote this year. Republicans have expressed their opposition to their plans.

SS reserve funds will run out, not their primary revenue stream. The situation isn't as dire as Washington and the media leads us to believe.

Thread question: "Why Do Democrats Want Social Security To Go Bankrupt?"

So they can blame it on Republicans....

Increasing the level of income at which Social Security payroll taxes are reapplied to income of more than $400,000 would eliminate 61% of the shortfall, researchers estimate. The proposal is popular with the public, having earned its own slogan, “Scrap the Cap.”

Same old shit of taxing the wealthy more. By the way, you don't make the problem more solvent by increasing benefits. That's just plain stupid.

Why do you like to club baby seals?
Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, we are talking about SS and how Democrats are ignoring it's looming insolvency. I don't know where you got seals from. You just made that up. I didn't make up the fact that SS is heading toward insolvency and I didn't make up the part about how Democrats are doing nothing about it.

Probably want it to fall apart so they can replace it with their own system probably tied to a digital dollar.

Or they simply don't care because it's in the future and all they care about slapping band aids on everything that's "right now".

Or this is another case of "republicans like this, so we're going to go full bore against it and go in the complete and opposite direction. Whatever they like we have to hate."

Or if you want to go in the conspiracy theory direction you could say they hate the poor and middle class and they want to weed them out as quickly as possible so they want to hurt those classes when they are at their least useful and most vulnerable stage in life which is why they want to get rid of social security they depend on to live when their old and pro abortion to hit them when their young.

The more frequent the adjustments and COLAs, the sooner we reach Program Insolvency... yes?

Ignoring looming insolvency IS NOT the same as wanting SS to go bankrupt.

Negligence is not the same as malice.
