Nobody knows what you’re talking about (that includes you).
Why do Republicans call the press (whose freedom is covered in the first amendment of the Constitution) the “enemy of the people”?
Dear
candycorn
There is a HUGE difference between the NEUTRAL freedom of the press
and the "corporate lobbies" connected with political parties and interests on both sides
that are biasing media outlets.
The same way CORPORATIONS bypassed checks and balances by claiming PERSONHOOD,
MEDIA CORPORATIONS have done similar.
This is no longer free speech and press, which being equally accessible CHECKS ITSELF.
But the complaints are directed at PAID LOBBYING WITHOUT ANY CHECK ON FALSE ADVERTISING OR MISREPRESENTATION.
That's not free speech or press, but the abuse of it to SLANDER and commit FRAUD.
Those are CIVIL VIOLATIONS (if not criminal conspiracy to violate rights)
which freedom of speech and of the press were never intended to be used for.
Republicans call the press (whose freedom is covered in the first amendment) the "enemy of the people".
Democrats do not do that.
Therefore it is Republicans who are taking a dump on the Constitution.
Dear
candycorn
You and these Republicans are NOT TALKING ABOUT THE SAME THING.
Republicans and conservatives are complaining about the BIASED POLITICAL LOBBYING
and misrepresentation going unchecked because of media bias.
They are demanding and forming their own networks
to reclaim their own Freedom of the Press.
So they aren't complaining about their own use of free press!
They complain about the biased media sources
that are no longer neutral journalism but have become political propoganda.
Where you and I might agree
candycorn
I HAVE jumped all over Conservatives calling them "Snowflakes"
for whining about Facebook which is a free service by a PRIVATE company.
I DO hold conservatives to their OWN standards,
and not complaining about free services if they aren't paying for them!
If they demand rights of companies to not serve "gay wedding cakes"
against the owners' beliefs, I argue that Facebook has the right
to refuse service to things against their beliefs provided they are honest about that policy.
The complaints against online companies is if they MISREPRESENT
their policies when accepting payment from advertisers or account holders to broadcast or
publish their materials. so if they become FRAUDULENT or breach contracts
that's one thing. But for free service, as long as it's a private company,
I believe they just have to have users sign a disclaimer to use those services and they can't complain!
