Why do cops still want to work in Democratic cities/areas?

These places are very hostile to law enforcement.

NYPD, Minneapolis PD, Atlanta PD, Chicago, etc.

Why do some cops still work for these departments and cities?
Beats me. Actually, in a lot of these places officers took early retirement and recruiting was horrible and many departments were under staffed.
 
In some cases, it's an economic necessity. Family situations, funding, trying to make their city a better place to live.
 
Cops don’t like accountability and confuse that with hostility.

These cities were doing fine until the ICE thugs showed up.
