Whether it be marijuana legalization/minimum wage/marriage equality/abortion american's seem to love the idea of passing huge sweeping laws that affect everyone.
What is so much more sexy about a federal law as opposed to a state law? IMO a state law is generally a better representation of what people want. So whats the big fuss over federal law?
Your personal thoughts?

Why do obvious trolls keep thinking their obvious troll threads won't be obvious bullshit to everyone?

Federal Law Supersedes. State Law.

-marijuana: For the past 5 years or so medical marijuana has been legal in California but is illegal under federal law so there have been several federal raids on state legal dispensaries because it was federally Illegal.

-Min Wage: A fully employed person on min wage doesn't make enough to support themselves. Having states decide leads to competition over business; more business follows the cheapest labor. Raising min wage will ensure nationwide fair pay.

-Marriage/Abortion: These topics wouldn't be blowing up so much but republican politicians want to declare these illegal under federal law. This will in effect move the country back 30 years or so
