Agreement of Mutual Assistance​

On 25 August, two days after the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, the Agreement of Mutual Assistance between the United Kingdom and Poland was signed. The agreement contained promises of mutual military assistance between the nations if either was attacked by some "European country". The United Kingdom, sensing a trend of German expansionism, sought to discourage German aggression by this show of solidarity. In a secret protocol of the pact, the United Kingdom offered assistance in the case of an attack on Poland specifically by Germany,[3] but in the case of attack by other countries, the parties were required only to "consult together on measures to be taken in common".[12] Both the United Kingdom and Poland were bound not to enter agreements with any other third countries that were a threat to the other.[13]​

The obvious answer is that the Western powers hoped that Hitler would turn on Stalin whom they knew he detested.

But yes, the Allies had just as much right to declare war on Stalin as they did Hitler for invading Poland and the subsequent genocide.

The tactic seems to have worked, at least, in terms of defeating Hitler. The vast majority of fighting occurred between Stalin and Hitler. It was a Nazi graveyard.

But the down side was, the Allies allied with the communists. So today, Nazism is detested world wide but Marxism is embraced, and it all stems from the alliance with Marxism to defeat Hitler. In reality though, Marxism has ended up murdering far more people than the Nazi regime, as Stalin murdered millions more than Hitler. Therefore, it could be argued that Marxism is far worse than Nazism.

But the victors get to write history, so today groups like BLM proudly declares to be Marxist as corporations all around the world throw money at them. It is akin to throwing money at Nazis and world wide the political spectrum leans towards Marxism which has been a murdering machine historically, ripe with oppression.

The thinking was that war could be averted, which it seems to have been, at least, not another major world war.

The down side once again was, they infiltrated other governments around the world to where now the US is on the verge of capitulation to Marxism they had fought for about half a century.

But no matter how many people you kill and murder, there are always some ideologies out there ready to try and take power and further wreak havoc upon humanity. It is our human nature.
