Don't kid yourself. He did not put the elected president in place and did not take over the government for the betterment of the people there. The regime is still in place, with Maduro's second in command and roving bands looking for supporters of American snatching of Maduro. Trump just wanted the oil, and too stupid to know, the industry is not going into to that country, even using Uncle Donny's government money in that unstable environment, as they have been burned there twice, already and in more stable takeovers.
