Oh bullshit! Hunter's lawyers and the DOJ prosecutors colluded to put together a plea deal that would have Hunter plead guilty to two lesser charges that carried no jail time...get diversion for the gun felony...and then have immunity to any crimes he committed up to that point and they tried to hide that immunity in the diversion part of the plea deal and slip it past the judge. She saw what they were doing and called the prosecution on it and they panicked. The judge asked if Hunter was presently being investigated for other crimes and the prosecutor reluctantly answered yes at which point the judge asked incredulously why a plea deal would include immunity for crimes that were currently being investigated and if the prosecutors had ever seen something like that done before. The prosecutor sheepishly admitted that he had not and that was the end of that sweet heart plea deal. As soon as that blanket immunity was taken away, Hunter's lawyers refused the deal and he pled not guilty.
What this debacle shows quite clearly is that the Biden DOJ is completely corrupt and that a Special Counsel should have been named to investigate this two YEARS ago!
Yup. This the analogy to what the Garland DOJ attempted:
An employee appears to have embezzled $10 million from his company now sitting in 20 suspicious banks accounts, which the company is presently investigating, while also parking too close to a hydrant one day. The deal is: if you plead guilty to the parking infraction, we’ll give you immunity over the embezzlement charges.
The number is going to be somewhere between 50-100 million. They already have tracked over 40 million, but they are still subpoenaing banks, so its hard to say where the cap is.So no evidence then

That's a crock, Faun! The entire reason that Hunter was going to TAKE that plea deal was that it would give him blanket immunity on anything that he did prior to now! As soon as the Judge pointed out to the prosecution that a deal like that was like nothing she'd ever seen before and asked him if he'd ever seen a plea deal like that before and he answered that he hadn't...that plea deal was dead in the water. As soon as that happened Hunter instantly changed his plea from guilty to innocent!LOLOL
The plea agreement literally stated it only applies to crimes in tbe statement of facts.
Biden's attorneys literally admitted they thought it would apply to peripheral crimes.
The part you're incapable of understanding is that nothing in the agreement changed. Which shows it was Hunter's camp who didn't fully understand what was in the agreement as they were the side to reneg on tne deal. The prosecution didn't panick. Hunter's team did.

The only thing that happened was the Judge read the gun charge diversion section of the plea deal where the immunity from prosecution was hidden and asked if there was an ongoing investigation of Hunter Biden. When she did the prosecution was placed between a rock and a hard place. They'd refused to turn over materials to Congressional investigators because of an "ongoing investigation" so how could they now say that there wasn't an investigation? Once they reluctantly stated there was an ongoing investigation the Judge asked why they were giving a blanket immunity to crimes that they were in the process of investigating and if they had EVER heard of a prosecutor doing something like that before. Once again the prosecutor had to sheepishly admit that he had never heard of that being done. At that point the Judge refused to sign the plea deal and Hunter's defense team immediately changed their plea to not guilty because they hadn't gotten what they REALLY wanted which was blanket immunity to things like being an unregistered foreign agent! "Misunderstanding"? That's laughable!No one said the GOP had anything to do with it.
