Biden issues pre-emptive pardons for Jan. 6 committee and witnesses, Anthony Fauci and Mark Milley
With just hours remaining in office, the president issued the pardons to protect people Donald Trump had threatened.

Biden pardoned former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley, Dr. Anthony Fauci, members and staff of the committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, and Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan police officers who testified before that committee.
I don't believe that the Lieutenant who shot Ashlie Babbitt ever testified before the Jan 6 Committee. Nor was ever officer who testified involved in physically controlling the protesters.
So, what could have been the reason to pardon specifically those officers that testified? I think I know, but I'm not sure the rules of the Current Events forum, so I'm keeping it as neutral as possible, given the story.
