33-year-old Kevin Jones, who is a pastor at Summit Church, is being investigated by the Mountain Region Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

Jones was arrested on Thursday, October 2nd for soliciting a minor via computer. Since then, an additional charge of exhibiting materials of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct has been added, according to the West Virginia Division of Corrections & Rehabilitation.

Due to legislation preventing the media from obtaining criminal narratives about sex-related crimes, 5 News has been unable to obtain more information related to the case.

Religion/faith has nothing to do with pedophilia. It is merely the vehicle hitched to by very, very few, which distresses and dismays huge numbers. Using something holy to prey upon the innocent is something that would never cross the healthy mind. There are a few very sick minds in this world--and those of us who are healthy need to be aware of this--and ready to protect both the innocent and what is holy.
