Why a modern "theoracy" may be the future once consumerist capitalism collapses

An American Theocracy is impossible and I'll tell you why.

There are just too many religions ... there are over 100 different xtian faiths alone.

Any attempt to create a theocracy in America would turn into Beirut in the '80s.

I see the mass culture in America and Europe as rather debased and on life support, with rampant and degenerate consumer capitalism - with other social aberrations such as sodomite and transgender "rights" being a symptom of the social disease, along with degenerate mass "entertainment" such as porn, trashy film and music such "Game of Thrones", and whatnot being signs of hte times.

My prediction is that the culture and government will take a direction considered more "theocratic" once the decaying culture and economy continue in their current direction, and ideally for the better. More specifically:

*By "theocracy", I do not mean the state will establish a single religion, but my prediction is that any major religion such as Christianity, or even Islam - will gain more followers and social power, while atheism and materialistic secularism will wither away and be ostracized.

*Much of America's degenerate mass entertainment industry, including its debased television, popular music, and misogynist porn industry, will be actively attacked due to their roles in social ills

(Given that obscenity laws exists in most states perfectly legally, were the states to enforce them, then they could ban pornography, and any form of media including television, film, and other degenerate "art" within their jurisdiction- problem is they merely haven't done so yet, but likely will in the future).

*Likewise, even when the government becomes more theocratic, there won't be any major protests or "revolution", given the unhealthy and sickly lifestyles of the materialistic elements of society, such as our rampant obesity rates, most of them will simply passively embrace it, since individuals incapable of governing themselves morally won't resist governance by an authoritarian outsider either. Only people who are spiritually disciplined are truly capable of apprecation freedom to begin with.

Ideally, the end result will be for the benefit of the more disciplined remenants of society who haven't embraced consumer captialism and its associated moral degeneracies, and to the punishment and detrement of the ones who brought these ills upon us.

More disciplined society? You want to do away with "moral degeneracies"?
