That's not social justice as defined by liberals today. Many of you liberals like Methodists like to claim Jesus was for what liberals think of social justice today. He was not.

Refuse to feed the poor…it will make them dependent
Tell the sick to get their own damn insurance

Offer the poor a job.
Share your meal with the poor
Care for the sick
And, the homeless appreciate that warm corner and a blanket to spend the night.

My grandparents lived during the depression. That's what they (and others in their small town) did. Grandma said the real difference between then and the welfare state is that in those days the poor wouldn't accept hospitality without first being given work. They were poor, not useless; poor, not charity cases.
