Zone1 who likes Latin ….in church … or elsewhere?

I do, it makes evil seem more exotic when recited in scary movies.

.

I loved studying Greek and Latin vocabulary in high school, but I've so far only learned

"Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen."

and a few of the responses.

Everything else I have to look up online. Just wish I had more time to study. A Catholic podcaster I listen to suggests that every adult Catholic needs to know the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be in Latin. Maybe before I die.

Pater noster, qui es in Caelis, santificetur nomen tuum …

15th post
The Latin teacher at my school comes to work every March 15th wearing a toga.

I'm not religious at all, but whenever we are in Paris we will take in the Latin Mass at Notre Dame purely because of the historical coolness.
