What I want to know is how did Muhammad know he was a descendant of Abraham's forsaken son Ishmael, who came 2000 years before Muhammad...did he send his DNA to ancestry.com?
Muhammad learned about Ishmael and other biblical figures from Jews and Christians. He did not descend from Ishmael and never claimed to be. This was a Muslim invention to embellish his life

He learned about Judaism and Ishmael from the ancient Jews of Medina and the women held captive from his invasions and destruction of Jewish cities, eventually marrying two of the Jewish women.
