Who do you think is the funniest person ever ? Looking back from 2021 I'm going to have to say Robin Williams. It's very sad the way his life ended, but I'll always remember him as the funniest person ever and I'm sure the people that were close to him miss him dearly.

Robin was no comedian. He was really like that. All the time. :auiqs.jpg:

Tim would just go off on an unexpected riff and destroy the script.

The Tremendous Sam Kinison was not only funny, he gave the listeners information about important stuff that the mainstream media refused to cover, like Gay Necrophilia.

Sam is in my top 5 with Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy
and Lucille Ball.

I agree with you on Robin Williams. He was THE most spontaneous and THE best at ad-lib comedy I ever saw. He's one of the VERY few comics that made me laugh so hard, I cried. RIP, Mr. Williams.

The list is too long...

Bob Newhart's standup was exceptional.

Setting aside his drugging women for sex, Bill Cosby's standup was legendary.

George Carlin's early stuff was great.

Richard Pryor, enough said.

Sam Kinison was a true original.

Eddie Murphy at his peak...

Bert Kreischer, Bill Burr, Patrice O'Neal, Anthony Jeselnik, Lewis Black, Tom Segura, Kevin Hart...

Iliza Shlesinger, Nikki Glaser, Christina Pazsitzky...

All of them are the funniest in their own way...

However...

Hands down, the funniest and smartest comedian working today is Dave Chappelle.

Good list.
I remember listening to Carlin when I was a kid... what a funny man. Until he wasn't. His last 10 years or so was just bitter rants and dark hatred.
