He was using a verse from The Book of Mormon falsely pushing the anti-Mormon attack that we teach those evils. This was very clear about his intentions and yours.

No one is pushing an attack by suggesting that the Mormon Church. He made no link about what the people of the BoM were doing at one time in their history with modern day Mormons.
