My statement is accurate. You just can’t handle the truth. You attack our beliefs. When we answer you, you get defensive and fall back on liberal behaviors. Those behaviors don’t work anymore. Trump won.
You need to talk to you Bishop, Mr. Defensive. You are the one who launched a nonsense attack on an observation and question. How that is liberal, you have no idea. This is not about Trump. It's about magics on the rez.

It does not! The Book of Mormon is written basically in second grade level English. And, you can’t read it and understand it. Yet, you claim to be a learned man. You should read Isaiah 29 Mr. Learned man 🤣
Go back read the scripture at the top of the thread. You are calling the writer a liar. Your lack of learning is so obvious as well as your inability to discuss.

Go back and read the OP. Yes, the BoM writer believes it.

Here is what I wrote and you can't reject.

from the Book of Mormon
Mormon 1: There were 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝘀; and the power of the evil one was wrought upon all the face of the land, even unto the fulfilling of all the words of Abinadi, and also Samuel the Lamanite.

Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, 1958, pp. 589-590:
One of the most evil and wicked sects supported by Satan is that which practices witchcraft, such craft involving as it does actual intercourse with evil spirits. A witch is one who engages in this craft, who practices the black art of magic, who has entered into a compact with Satan, who is a sorcerer or sorceress. Modernly the term witch has been limited in application to women.

I thought you were an active LDS, yet you are babbling and flabbling along.

Nothing new.

And why are you flabbling and babbling about Trump winning? That has nothing to do with this thread.

Cougarbear is an LDS priesthood holder who is an alcoholic.

You don’t even recognize analogies. How can you logically reason what you read? Read the Book of Mormon before attacking. And, I will defend the kingdom of God. I have covenanted to do so and my Bishop has covenanted to do the same.

Yes, I’m calling that person a liar because they stated a wrong comprehension and took it out of context as well. It wasn’t an accident either. It was deliberate.

Again, it doesn’t say we teach people to follow and do witchcraft and magic. If you read the entire chapter and the entire book, you would recognize that Mormon is saying the people of that time were doing those things that goes against what the Church and God teach. Samuel the Lamanite was a prophet about 5 years before the birth of Jesus Christ that warned the people and called them to repentance because of their evil they were doing, sorceries, witchcraft and magic. Stop spreading lies about what we teach.
I’ll write this again, following your warped logic, the Bible teaches the same evil too.

I never said you did. The Book of Mormon said the people of the Book at that time did.

Why are you combative and saying I say things that are the exact opposite of what I wrote?

You are delusional.

And what were you rambling on about Trump for?

Go to the doc. You may be entering early dementia.

You have no analogies that are sensible. Your Bishop would kick your heretical ass.

The writer asked a question. It was not to trip you or Mormonism up. The question was fair. Then you defamed him, deliberately took him out of context, and start rambling on in a shattered tone about Trump?

Dementia can start in the early sixties, I bet you are a dozen years older than that.

Magic underwear wearer
That's meaningless. It's the category of Jewish curls, RC and Protestant crosses, and a million non-Christian religious artifacts.

Cougarbear is just crazy.

Not just him. If the most important thing in your life are ancient fairytales, you're nuts for sure

In the opening post, boevans wrote the following:

"Mormonism, as in all offshoots of the Abrahamic religions, believe in witchcraft, sorcery, and black magic."

When one first reads this line, one is lead to believe that Mormons along with all offshoots of the Abrahamic religions believe in witchcraft, sorcery, and black magic as part of their faith. If what was really meant by this sentence is that we believe that witchcraft, sorcery and magic actually exist in the world but we don't follow such practices then boevans should have been more explanative in his statement. Do we believe that these things exist in the world? YES. Even in the Bible we read of these things. Possession by evil spirits and the casting out of evil spirits by the followers of Jesus is mentioned. Possession of evil spirits is a form of witchcraft, sorcery, and black magic. Jesus believed that it existed, why shouldn't we?

Because you said that the Church teaches sorcery, witchcraft and magic using that verse. The "People" that were practicing these evil things were not the members of the Church in those days. Yes, there was a Church of Jesus Christ in the Americas after the resurrection of the Lord. Before, it was just referred to the Church of God. Like the Bible, it's stories of the children of Israel in the Americas and their struggles with Pride and going from righteousness to unrighteousness. From the Knowledge of God to apostasy and back. That verse simply does not do what you originally said it did by stating The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches the people to use sorcery, witchcraft and magic. It's apostates that say our garments are magic underware. We don't say that.

So, stop being a tool for lies. You have been corrected. Go ask your priest or minister for repentance.

You have no analogies that are sensible. Your Bishop would kick your heretical ass.
They are sensible. You simply don't want to admit it. Your prideful heart doesn't allow you to. You just make accusations which are false.

You should read his accusation more closely. Yes, he was attempting to attack the Church by saying we teach and promote sorcery, witchcraft and magic. He was using a verse from The Book of Mormon falsely pushing the anti-Mormon attack that we teach those evils. This was very clear about his intentions and yours.

What accusations? None. You went off like a loon full of hot shot.

And why did you say I told lies about the LDS Church?

You are delusional.
