As recently as July 10, 2023--NATO has tendered no invitation to Ukraine for membership. The time to question Russia's actions was in 2014 when Obama turned a blind eye to Putin's annexation of Crimea. It is all moot now. Ukraine is a virtual territory of Russia. Granted they have claimed independence but they made no effort to enforce it when Crimea was taken. I have no obligations to support Ukraine or Russia. I want no part of their problems and the US is in debt. We shouldn't go deeper in debt to bail out this country. Not my countries, not my war. How does one steal from working class people by providing them with jobs and incomes? Profits are the reward for taking risks and using one's intelligence and knowledge to start businesses.

One of the architects of Obamacare wanted to include a QLY equation to determine if money should be spent on treatment or surgery for older people. His thinking was that they had no more value to society. So, for example, if the average lifespan for a man is 78 years, a 72 year old would have six Quality of Life Years left, so only $6000 a year (or whatever) would be covered. A 74 year old would be allocated $4000 (or whatever) a year. So, for example, if my dad broke his hip at age 72, he would have been put in a wheelchair for the next 22 years (he died at 94) because the far-left radical figured a retiree wasn’t worth much.

(Even more alarming, the system on which this was based also allocated small amounts of medical coverage to children under 15 - and the younger you are, the less coverage. So, for example, a 1-year-old was allocated very little coverage, while a 14 year old got almost the full amount that “full productive” people got. The thinking? The state has invested no money in educating a baby, so he’s worth zilch to them. But they’ve paid for almost 10 years of education for the teenager, and they will be getting their investment back in a few short years when he moves into “full productive” mode.)
