While I very much dislike what this woman said I disagree that people can be charged for saying mean things.

Only white people.

Used a billion times a month by blacks.

I hope she fights this all the way to SCOTUS. Hopefully some conservative law firm will take up her case and the phony 'fighting words' a liberal Court saddled us with in 194 , though it has been tempered down by several rulings since. The most recent being R.A.V. v. City of St. Paul (1992).

In it,
the Court struck down an ordinance that banned "hate speech" like cross-burning. Though the Court agreed that fighting words are unprotected, it ruled that the government cannot ban fighting words based on their specific content or message. This constitutes viewpoint discrimination, which is unconstitutional.

Looks like she brought it on herself, with her "White Karen" communication skills, calling a 5 year old a "N-word" in public. Maybe she will learn better and save her ethnic epithets for inside her home, so her kids can be as shitty as she.

So you agree that it should be a crime to make racist remarks? Should it be a crime to make fun of fat people?

Sounds like a minor hate crime, when used in hate, especially against a minor.
Have you tried Ozempic, lard ass?

A quality community(civilization in general) has to start with the INDIVIDUAL. I too fully appreciate Americans 1st amendment for sure, but to compliment our 1st amendment I REALLY APPRECIATE my fellow Americans that have learned to use quality dialog to @ least somewhat better a less than ideal encounter. The 'trick' is to deliver the message needed, but not escalate the situation into a more explosive encounter(not always possible).

Verbal violence is not protected speech, is it?

So you want to ban speech that you deem offensive. In other words, you want to eliminate the first amendment. Of course, you would have a two-tiered system wherein you would charge conservatives but give leftists a pass, right?

Not all speech is free, as you well know.

You want to expand the 1stA so you can verbally threaten or express verbal violence.

Fines and city jail are the sentence for that stupidity.
