On Thursday, an astounding 280,000 Organizing for America supporters gathered online to huddle with the President at our National Health Care Forum. With Congress about to return to Washington to make historic decisions on health insurance reform, the President chose this critical moment to speak directly to the OFA community. He reminded us of how far we've come and what we can accomplish together:

Remember one thing: Nothing is more powerful than millions of voices calling for change. That's how we won this election. You know this, and that's why since OFA launched its health reform campaign in June you've hosted 11,000 events in more than 2,500 towns in every single state and every single congressional district...I am absolutely confident that we can get this done, but I want everybody to remember, this has never been easy....We are not going to give up now. We are going to get this done.

One one side we have a spontaneous uprising of middle class and elderly Americans to oppose ObamaCare, on the other we have the WH coordinating an AstroTurf effort to show support.

on health care is in such dire straights that they are infusing christianity to help support their socialistic take over of our health care system.

What a bunch of hypocrites, they are pro choice late term abortion supporters, mock christianity and christains at every turn. Oppose religion of any kind by the removal of the 10 commandments outside of courthouses, deny prayer rights in public schools, want to remove the word "God" in the pledge of allegiance. Yet, when they see the need, they try and use it on us Christians to guilt us into doing what is absolutely wrong for this country.

There are ways to fix health care but it is most definitely not a national take over of health care by a bunch of morons who would not be capable of running a profitable neighborhood lemonade stand.

That is a mangled approach to Christianity. Not all Christians are opposed to abortion, and even if they are, they aren't all against other people having the right to an abortion under the laws as they presently are. As if abortion and blatant overtness were the overriding issues that Christianity wishes to address......they aren't. They have other issues and basic tenets that they want straightened out as well. Like say fearmongering and lying about what the argument is really about. Christians are not a monolithic group. They are free to pursue whatever interests them in whatever way it supports or contradicts their particular faith....just like any other citizen. You don't lose your right to have your own opinions just because you go to church or say you are a Christian. There are no requirements.

First time I've ever heard of such an anology. Must be a sports thing for under 30?

You're not just stupid, but a liar.

US Senator Lloyd Bentsen, believed to have coined the term, was quoted by the Washington Post in 1985 using it to describe a "mountain of cards and letters" sent to his Senate office to promote insurance industry interests, which Bentsen dismissed as "generated mail."[
