I was born Roman Catholic (sort of Irish-Catholic), went to 12 years of Catholic education, gave up on religion for a few years, then came back.

I am a "practicing Catholic," but I'm the type that serious Cathollics abhor. The stuff I don't like (e.g., ,Confession), I just ignore.

Works for me. I have studied many other religions, and this is the only one that works. The only other one I would countenance is the break-away group from Episcopals that refused to go along with gays, etc.

Catholic , the only religion that doesn't throw me back on my own resources , yet demands loving God with my whole mind and making efforts. None of this Trans Bishop stuff, or 'gay is okay' though there are a ton of political sins.
Pope Benedict is someone I could model my life on
