Fiddler on the Roof- About JEWS living in the Pale settlements. Millions of jews were forced by the Czar of Russian to live in poverty on the Pale.

Schlinders List- True story of Oscar S and the jews he saved.

Pianist. a must see movie about a professional pianist trying to survive in the Holocaust. True story.

While it was a good movie I found the historical inaccuracies troubling in Schlinders List.

Amon Göth used a regular K98, not a scoped sporting rifle with double set triggers.

First and second I agree, I would place The Producers third.

I never noticed that. That's a sporterized 1960s jobber probably.

I never paid attention as to what movie was "Jewish," except Schindler's List, which I did watch, and I never watched the Pianist or Fiddler on the Roof. So, I can only give you one that was specifically about the Jewish people.
As to what movies were produced or directed by Jewish individuals, I don't give a crap. What is important to me is how good or bad the movie was.

Steyr Mannlicher-Schoenauer Sporter

Amon Goeth (Ralph Fiennes) uses a Steyr Mannlicher-Schoenauer fitted with a scope to kill prisoners in the labor camp. Spielberg shot this whole scene, (Goeth without a shirt shooting prisoners in the morning), from the testimonies of living witnesses and a series of photographs of Goeth shirtless with his rifle. The historical photographs, though, shows him with an unscoped regular Karabiner 98k.

They were doing that with those in the 60s, lining them with .270 or 30-.06 barrels.

Who the hell gives a crap about what damn weapon that piece of garbage used to kill innocent people?!

15th post
Because it's not like photos were not available at the time for them to go by.
It's NOT what he was using to kill innocent people, it's that he was killing innocent people and the film gets it all across to the audience! That's what was important. I wouldn't have cared if the actor wielded a bow and arrow on the balcony. It's the evil that men and women do to each other!

All three pale before a movie made before most of you were born, and which is the classic benchmark film;

EXODUS
...
Exodus is a 1960 American epic historical drama film about the founding of the State of Israel. Produced and directed by Otto Preminger, the screenplay was adapted by Dalton Trumbo from the 1958 novel of the same name by Leon Uris. The film stars an ensemble cast including Paul Newman, Eva Marie Saint, Ralph Richardson, Peter Lawford, Lee J. Cobb, Sal Mineo, John Derek and George Maharis. The film's soundtrack music was written by Ernest Gold.

Preminger openly hired screenwriter Trumbo, who had been on the Hollywood blacklist for over a decade for being a communist and forced to work under assumed names. Together with Spartacus, also written by Trumbo, Exodus is credited with ending the practice of blacklisting in the US motion picture industry.

Released on December 15, 1960 by United Artists, the film earned $8.7 million at the box office in the United States and Canada, and $20 million worldwide.
