Which cause of death gets the most coverage by the MSM...

The main stream media has an agenda... so counting on them is a waste of time... what I'd like to take bets on is how long will it take for the DOJ to call the last school shooting a hate crime....
I agree with you regarding MSM's agenda. # 1 is to sell advertising which is based on viewers which is based on concentrating on news like
children shootings. Did we have 7/24 news coverage of these mass shootings in the 1900s?

History of School Shootings in the United States

The earliest known United States shooting to happen on school property was the Pontiac's Rebellion school massacre on July 26, 1764, where four Lenape American Indian entered the schoolhouse near present-day Greencastle, Pennsylvania, shot and killed schoolmaster Enoch Brown, and killed nine or ten children (reports vary). Only two children survived.

BUT where were the 7/24 news networks? Oh wait they didn't exist!
March 6, 1884 Boston, Massachusetts As news of Jesse James reached the east coast, young kids started to act in the same manner. An article from the New York Times reads, "Another "Jesse James" Gang - "Word was brought to the Fifth Police Station to-night that a number of boys were using the Concord-street School-house for some unknown purpose, and a posse of officers was sent to investigate. The gang scattered at the approach of the police, and in their flight on drew a revolver and fired at Officer Rowan, without effect, however. William Nangle, age 14, and Sidney Duncan, age 12, were captured, but the other five or six escaped, among them the one who who did the shooting. The boys refused to disclose the object of their meeting, but it is thought that another "Jesse James" organization has been broken up."

April 2, 1921 Syracuse, New York Professor Holmes Beckwith shot and killed dean J. Herman Wharton in his office at Syracuse University before committing suicide.
May 18, 1927 Bath, Michigan School treasurer Andrew Kehoe, after killing his wife and destroying his house and farm, blew up the Bath Consolidated School by detonating dynamite in the basement of the school, killing 38 people, mostly children. He then pulled up to the school in his Ford car, then blew the car up, killing himself and four others. Only one shot was f
NOTE: 38 killed by detonating dynamite!
I can go on!

But again... I'm curious how did people hear about for example 38 people blown up by dynamite in 1927!

Its not about selling ad time anymore... it use to be... have you checked CNN's ratings?... no its about changing America from what and how it was founded to a more socialist nation where government is the ultimate power...

You can just buy them no-questions-asked wit the desire to shoot as many people as you want without breaking the law.

That sounds like something you'd do, nutcase. Inbred losers eaten up with fetal alcohol syndrome like yourself should be the last people on earth to go anywhere near a firearm.

That's a good point. The big difference is this:
The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees a "right of the people to keep and bear arms".
Now in 1787 there were no cars, and therefore no guarantee the "right of the people to keep and bear cars".

The Seizure of Arms has Always Been an Act of Tyranny

This characteristic of tyranny is nothing new. In the sixth century BC, the Persian king Cyrus the Great asked his new adviser—the defeated King Croesus of Lydia—how to stop the Lydian people from revolting. Cyrus wanted to know how to control a population, not an insignificant concern for a monarch. According to Herodotus, Croesus advised that the people should not be allowed to possess "weapons of war" and that they instead should "instruct their sons to play the lyre, sing, and sell things." Cyrus was persuaded, he ordered the confiscation of the people's arms, and, as Herodotus reports, "the Lydians altered their whole way of life." The plan was a success

But the point I'm making is the BIASED MSM takes these situations and spent thousands of hours blaring out a handful of deaths.
But how many minutes of national coverage of car deaths?
Your point is stupid. Sorry, but I read the news and I see all kinds of media coverage of car deaths. Matter of fact, every fatal accident is covered in the local media. FOX news, not so much.

And then you got to roll out that "ban all guns", "confiscate all guns"--it is flippin HORSESHIT. Ban assault rifles, require a permit for all gun purchases, eliminate the gun show loophole. Hell, even Scalia said it, the second amendment does not give you the right to carry ANY gun, ANY where, ANY time. Quit pretending like it does and quit pretending that reasonable gun regulations somehow leads to confiscation of all guns.

I wonder how many more deaths from cars there would be if cars were as loosely regulated as guns. I wonder how many more deaths from cars there would be if the only purpose for cars' existence were to cause deaths like guns.
But murdering the unborn is OK with you, right? You talk out of both sides of your mouth, moron. Try having a consistent pair of thoughts. SMFH.

With the liberals, it's not about the deaths, if it were they would be doing something about the fentanyl coming
across the border too. It's about using these tragedies to go after our Second Amendment.
If we lose it, we will be a much more compliant nation. Look at the countries where weapons were removed.
As long as we have the Second Amendment, this government cannot contend with 400 million weapons.
Our Founding fathers were much smarter than the idiots on the Hill.
Banning assault rifles, closing the gun show loophole, requiring a permit for gun ownership--none of those things eliminate the second amendment. Nor do they violate it. You can't effectively argue against any of those things so you start screaming and wailing like a stuck pig, "They going to take our guns away?" Because that is the only argument you can win, for now. You morons keep it up and pretty soon, well those guns just might get taken away.

Its a slippery slope, winston.

BTW, a lot of US jurisdictions make it almost impossible and very costly to even be allowed to carry a concealed weapon. For example, here in Mercer County, PA, the fee is $20 and the permit has to be renewed every 5 years and more money has to be spent at that time. I've been told, unbelievably, that is other jurisdictions its even worse.

As soon as you get a Constitutional amendment
Hell, I am with you. I mean who needs a flippin car. There is this place called Amazon, hell, you can have damn near anything delivered right to your door. Walmart, every major grocery chain, they DELIVER. Who needs a car. And there is this thing called the internet, hell, work remote, you never have to leave your house so who needs a car. But hey, if you do need to get out for some reason, there is this other thing called Uber.

But a gun, well hell, that is a different story. Bad people are everywhere, and they are just itching to kick down the door to your trailer and take all your shit. Hell, if you do get that Uber and take a ride to town, well you best have your trusty sidearm on cause God knows, without it you would be robbed by some black hoodlum wearing a hoodie. And then there is the damn government. Eventually, well the deep state is going to take over and then, well by God your mighty assault weapon will reek devastation to their damn tanks and jet fighters.

And the zombies, oh hell, we can't forget about the zombies. They might come before the deep state, got to have a fifty round mag in that assault rifle to even have a chance of survival against the mighty zombie apocalypse. Nothing renders destruction to a zombie like a .223 caliber bullet at high velocity. I know, I play video games.

So yeah, who the hell needs a car. But everyone needs a gun.

If you can't afford four dollars a damn year for a concealed weapons permit you probably shouldn't be carrying.

Get an amendment. What a bunch of word salad I didn't read to look ridiculous

Winston, you don't stop a train going 60 miles an hour on a dime. First of all, the government has to get their foot in the door.
Once they do that they can start expanding their definitions on what an assault weapon is, we've seen it already with politicians trying
to define what their version of an assault weapon is. Nope....give 'em and inch, and they'll take the whole enchilada.

Do you understand just how many laws and regulations we have in place when purchasing a gun/rifle?
Go out and purchase one, you'll find out real quick.
Mail order guns and rifles are sent to a qualified gun dealer to do the paperwork.
Go to a gun show and buy a gun and see what happens.
You've heard a few incidences where one is purchased illegally in the parking lot perhaps, but not
IN the gun show.

If you can't afford 4 dollars, you can't afford a weapon... so you are already a criminal by stealing a gun.

STFU, seriously, STFU. Awful damn easy for you to stand on your soapbox and wax about the unborn. Doesn't cost you jackshit. Pretty damn easy to tell other people what they should do. But hell, someone has a child and lives in poverty and needs a little help, maybe to buy baby formula, and what do you do? Bitch and scream and talk about "responsibility".

But oh hell, you don't give two shits about little children being killed in an elementary school just so you can hang on to your precious assault rifle. What a damn needle dick. Banning assault rifles is not about stopping mass shootings, or even school shootings. It is about improving the odds of survivability. It is past damn time we acknowledged that and moved forward.

You lost me when you said, "foot in the door". It is an excuse, a lame excuse. You can't let perfection be the enemy of the good. Assault rifles should be banned, period. Honestly, they are damn near worthless.

And sorry, but I am not in the market for a gun. Matter of fact, Dad died a little less than a year ago and my brother and I have been tasked with inventorying his gun collection. Got to say, I have been impressed. A gun is a tool, and every gun has its purpose. A gun for bird hunting, a gun for duck hunting, a gun for deer hunting, a gun for skeet shooting. Every single gun had a purpose. And for sure, there is no "assault rifle" in the collection.

But if I were in the market for a gun I would just pick up a copy of the local trade journal, buy me a pistol without a background check from a private citizen. That is wrong, and that needs to be corrected.
