I can see two possible scenarios:

1. Another Republican candidate would have stepped into the political arena and there would have been a massive landslide win for the GOP.

2. The then-existing Biden administration's Justice Department would have committed a massive coverup and propaganda campaign, blaming the right for the assassination. Many on the right would have been suspicious, but the media in conjunction with the government, would have ran a disinformation campaign. Kamala Harris would have won the election against whomever the GOP had put forward.

Does anyone see any other possible scenarios?

I'm not sure about #2 but it seems clear that had Crooks succeeded, Harris would be president today and the USA would be ten steps closer to a fascist, totalitarian regime where it wasn't safe to walk the streets a normal, white, conservative, christian male.

I shudder to think of the outcome for America if they had succeeded.

Nikki Haley would be your president today.

Vance wouldn't have been moved forward into the presidential candidate's slot?

Nope, because it wasn't until a couple of days later when Trump announced Vance as his V.P choice at the GOP convention.

Hence, the timing of this attempt on his life probably lead Trump to have his Spidey Senses tingle.

Vance had not been named yet....It would have been a dog fight and we would have probably ended-up with some fuckin' RINO.

Trump was shot July 13th.....Vance was not named till the 17th of July.

Thanks. I forgot about the timing of his VP announcement.

I don't want to think of what the outcome could have been. I believe it would have led to massive bloodshed. Another in a long line of unbelievable outcomes that I have witnessed in the past three decades.

YOu need to look up the definition of "fascism".

No, Vance would be president riding on a groundswell of antipathy towards democrats.

The RNC would have elected a replacement in which the 3 state RNC members from each state would get as many votes as their state had delegates. My guess is it would have been done so quickly that it would have gone to Desantis.

Kamala had no message. (Not that she could possibly have articulated it even if she did have a message.)

Her main theme was “Orange Man Bad.” If Trump had been assassinated in Butler, she couldn’t even use that as her major theme.

Despite her inability to communicate and her lack of a genuine message, the scary thing is how relatively close the popular vote actually was.

My (obviously unadulterated) guess is that Pence may well have gotten the GOP nod.

While he would have been enormously better than Heels-Up Harris, he still would have been just a run of the mill Republican Party rubber stamp.

We would be far worse off today no matter who then win the election.

JGalt When I lived there....we use to say Nothing changes in Washington but the weather.

The REPUBs machine would put up the best candidate for the party (not the country) and act like he was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The satanic MSM would jump on the bandwagon...not for the good of the country but to feed the ever hungry we need to make more $$$ beast.

Had they succeeded, Haley would have not even been on the ticket. She was persona non-grata with the democrats and the GOP was certainly not going to replace Trump with her.

But the bumbling democrats failed again; they failed to install Gore after Clinton, they failed to install Harris after Biden, and Biden, well--- who can say what he failed at doing... Biden was never anything more than a shadow presidency with sundry characters in the shadows doing who knows what while Joe sat in the corner mumbling to himself crapping his pants.
