I served in the Army and was one who trained with machine guns. You boasted loudly about one women who you told us all was the best machine gunner in your unit. Want to change what you said?

Yes, she was. I was not talking about all men in the Army.

Not the same thing as difficult marches or being a machine gunner.
I am a pilot. Yes women easily learn to fly. It is no mystery at all. And I know of women who were good or great pilots of say fighter jets. But that is sitting down. It is just not the same as a difficult march or even waging combat when you can see the enemy out in the field. War Jets have a lot of protection built into them.

Bottom line is that it comes down to "merit" yes, and then the ranks should be separated for the purpose of lessoning the distractions and temptations that create major situations inside the co-ed ranks.

It has caused the military service's some severe issue's in the past, and it has destroyed lives and reputations. It has to end.

Not back then. In Basic Training, with two fractured metatarsals I walked three Drill Sergeants into the ground. I got tired of them sneering at my injury and calling me lazy. Of course I paid for it by limping in pain for the next two weeks, but it was worth it for the respect and self-respect it generated.
