He is moonwalking back Elon's DOGE butchery as well. There looks to be a pretty large groundswell of buyer's remorse going on across the country. It appears that millions of MAGAt voters just thought they were onboard with "draining the swamp" and gutting the federal workforce UNTIL they realized that they themselves depend on these services and these workers.
One thing (besides rising and falling stock indicators) that Trump is sensitive to is popularity polling. He realizes he is bleeding support on these DOGE cuts so he is putting the brakes on Elon and sending control back to the agency heads.
That's a good thing.
So it's starting to look like natural forces are beginning to come into play checking Trump's reign of terror.
