When you have to resort to buying the election... Musk's $1 million give away

The RWingers complain (whine) about NPR and who pays for it. Musk gets way more in government subsidies than NPR. Way more. He wants to increase the amount of flights from Vandenberg for his OWN commercial business, aka SpaceX.

Here is another good read about Musk and how he's getting rich off taxpayers...

George Soros.

/thread
And Mark Zuckerberg.

Those two collectively put over a half billion into direct administration of the 2020 election.

Why bother with campaigns when you can just buy off the election officials in the swing states?

Like at home healthcare for seniors. Terrible!
What home health care for seniors? You mean like getting Medicare to pay for long term care, increasing our debt and inflation even further? I also see you totally ignored my post you quoted about Harris just coming up with special programs aimed at just young black males in order to buy their votes.

Research dumbass. Look at something besides Twit and gatewaypubdit..

Democrats: “VOTE FOR US AND WE’LL GIVE YOU FREE SH*T WITH TAX PAYER MONEY!”

non-democrat gives out his own money

Democrats: “HEY, THATS NOT FAIR!!”

Oh? Name a Democrat running such a sweepstakes and it’s past winners.
There is a leftist group that tried to one-up Musk by actually paying people to vote. That really is illegal, btw.

If an eligible voter did not cast a ballot in 2020, they are offered a payout by the game company, so long as they do the following:
  • Write an apology for not having voted four years ago.
  • Create a plan to vote.
  • Post a pre-written disparaging comment about former President Donald Trump on social media.
... Second story on the same MSN link says:

On Tuesday, the company announced they are looking to target eligible voters who didn’t cast a ballot in the 2020 election. In order to qualify for an up to $100 payment, the individual must be willing to write an apology, and they also must publicly post “Donald Trump is a human toilet” on social media.

Voters in seven swing states, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, will receive the biggest payouts.

You have Musk and the Electoral College to blame for that.

Well, the FPTP system is open to abuse from people paying for elections. Because all you need to do is get more votes than anyone else, and they've got it down to an art form where it's only more votes than one other person. You can pick your battlegrounds, pumping money into small areas, rather than having to convince the whole country.

It's a system for the 18th century, being used in the 21st century and it's not working.

More of the rich have given money to Kamala and liberals have been bragging about it.

The fact it takes a couple hundred million to run for office is pathetic.
What Musk is doing is clearly illegal – not that Republican care, of course.

‘Rick Hasen, a UCLA Law School political science professor, went further. He pointed to a law that prohibits paying people for registering to vote or for voting. “If all he was doing was paying people to sign the petition, that might be a waste of money. But there’s nothing illegal about it,” Hasen said in a telephone interview. “The problem is that the only people eligible to participate in this giveaway are the people who are registered to vote. And that makes it illegal.”’

All you have is a political science professor stating an opinion.

Yeah, I didn't say the Dems don't do it. The two party system is awful and open to corruption. However what Musk is doing seems to take it one step further into the realms of ridiculous.
Harris received over one billion dollars in a month from those rich interests you hate. Promises were made. Gifts were exchanged.

As if democrats would never think about spreading money around for votes? GTFOH….

Just another butthurt thread whining that Republicans are doing what Democrats do….

So, you are good with someone like this literally buying votes?

That tells us a lot about you.

Elon Musk has forged a relationship with a Republican figure who could open up a geyser of federal cash for his Starlink satellite internet business — and it’s not the person running for president.

Online and in person, the tech titan has been building a public alliance around his company’s policy goals with Brendan Carr, the senior Republican on the Federal Communications Commission — an unusual link between a regulator and his potential beneficiary that could mean a payday for the world’s richest man.
