“When the looting starts, the shooting starts”

What encourages or fuels violence is when “leaders” justify looting, destruction, and theft by saying “it’s OK, businesses have insurance.”

I think that everyone who give this argument any credence should post the address of his home, and the address of any business that he owns, online, and encourage the looters are rioters to start there.

Think about what Trump is implying. He is saying that looters will be shot on sight. The punishment definitely doesn't fit the crime, now does it?

Sure it does. Shoot on sight should have been implemented at 10 PM the first night.
OK, well, keep thinking that way and see where it gets you -- in a nice cell with big bubba to keep you warm at night! I'll visit you on the weekends if I can find time.
New York stores have put up razor wire and have dog handlers with German Shepards and Pit Bulls that will be protecting the stores.

hey idiot Joe, if they are looting they are NOT INNOCENT people of color

The sad thing is you are more upset about the looting than the murder of innocent black people that provoked it.

Talk about fucked up priorities.

These are your "peaceful protesters"

These aren't the people Trump gassed on Monday, bud.

But let's look at that. We've seen peaceful protesters since you all wanted to give Zimmerman a medal for gunning down Trayvon. We've seen all sorts of peaceful protests, and nothing got done, other than ruining Colin Kaepernick's career.

Now all hell has broken loose, and people are finally paying attention. Cops are getting charged, politicians are treating police reform seriously

Trump was right, "when looting starts, the shooting starts". This man died while protecting the Pawn shop own by his friend.

Retired police captain shot to death at St. Louis pawn shop in slaying caught on Facebook Live
David Dorn, 77, was shot in the torso about 2:30 a.m. He died on the sidewalk in front of the shop, Lee’s Pawn & Jewelry, at 4123 Martin Luther King Drive.

Very sad... But if there is one institution that would be the focus of anger in that community, it would be pawn shops.

I think that @everyone who give this argument any credence should post the address of his home, and the address of any business that he owns, online, and encourage the looters are rioters to start there.

My business isn't the one fucking these people over... That's what you kind of miss. They are going after the banks, the payday loan centers, the pawn shops and the little grocery that sells food at inflated prices because they can.

Can't get worked up.

I commend President Trump for being frank: Looters should not expect immunity from "stern" consequences.

I agree, however, that he should have phrased his words in a more diplomatic manner.

His enemies (they are not genuine "opponents") are looking for any excuse to criticize him and to censor him on social media.

Actually, he should be calling for calm rather than fanning the flames.

The vast majority of people out protesting police brutality are NOT looters. The peaceful protestors he gassed and shot with rubber bullets were not looting.

Targets, Auto Zones, Wendy's these companies have been taking advantage of Blacks for a long time too Right?

so apparently you support the looters, and the arsonist too?
What about all the live that get screwed up because of these criminals? What about the stores owners and police that have been killed since these riots started. You are just another anti-American POS

The looters and rioters don’t give a shit about George Floyd. If they are litters, they care about sneakers and jewelry. If they are rioters, they are using Floyd to simply destroy US. They are all not protestors.

Looters and rioters are a threat and need to be dealt with. Call them out for using Floyd.

How is Trayvon related to this case? Media hyped how Trayvon was a "good boy" and dindu nuffin, while he has just another thug smashing head of Zimmerman (whom media portrayed as white) of the concrete. Was Zimmerman a cop whose brutality ignited riots? Nope, there is nothing to protest there except media lies.

What about that thug... sorry, "gentle giant" Michael Brown, and lies that "peaceful protests" were initiated by, "hands up, don't shoot" that were proven to be lies, again. How those protests were justified? Defend him for robing the market, showing the owner, and then for attacking the policemen that was called for his actions.

Let's look at all those fake outrage cases. What about Eric Garner, or Philandro Castile, or even Ahmaud Arbery (again, not case involving cops)? Every time you lefties are protesting something based on false premises, lies and incomplete information. Do you see pattern there?

Let's address George Floyd's case now. Even without knowing anything about Floyd's history, or about cop's history, pretty much whole nation was agreeing about unnecessary police brutality, and very few Americans were unsympathetic to the protest marches that followed. Remorse, censure, and tears flowed from every official portal, from the mouth and eyes of every political figure in the land. We all knew that cop Chauvin will be charged, but in order to do it there must be proper and complete investigation. But noooooo... "we want justice, and we want it now" crowd started breaking shit, looting businesses, burning cities, beating and in some cases killing everyone in their way, even threatening to riot into suburbs, loot and burn private homes.

You're saying that rioting and looting are OK. Well, remember the pattern I mentioned above? After all that fake outrage you had for years, you finally have a case that could've bring the change, you finally had left and right agreeing on the change, and you stupid fucks blew it. The stolen XBox, and Vans are more important that justice for George Floyd. After these riots, burning and destruction, I don't even care anymore, I'll restock my ammo and wait. You are free to come any time you wish.

One thing that I admire about President Trump is that he's not “more diplomatic”. He's blunt. He says what he thinks needs to be said, and he doesn't sugar-coat anything for anyone. He doesn't care who's going to criticize him for saying it.

I, for one, very much prefer having a President who tells the rude truth, than one who tells polite lies.

I agree with your last sentence.

But some truth is so hurtful that we have to sugarcoat it because no one wants to unnecessarily hurt people's feelings.

Have a nice day!

Really... after all those "peaceful protests" ended up in violence, riots, and burning up the cities?

And what Trump has to do with the actions of bad local cops in Minnesota?

Looters should be shot on sight, but dumbasses like you can't see the forest for the trees.

I've watched hundreds of videos over the past week of looters. Know what I've seen? Grocery stores being cleaned out. Pharmacies being ransacked. Trucks being raided. These people you so staunchly defend are denying food and medicine to their communities. That is a threat to life and these fuckers should be eliminated with prejudice.

Guy, you can whine all day, but frankly, you were one of the people who ignored years of pleas to reform police departments or hold thug cops responsible.

I'm actually amazed that it took this long to break out into riots.

Trump has spent the last 5 year race baiting, even Republicans are criticizing him for it now.
