America changed when Barack Obama came out of nowhere to get elected President against a bad Republican candidate, John McCain during a time of economic upheaval.
It changed us for the worse. Because Obama is, at his core, completely dishonest, a fabrication, a smooth liar but one of the most political animals in American history. He planted the seeds for what Joe "I Don't Have A ******* Clue What I'm Doing" Biden would then see grow to fruition: open borders, huge spending, corruption, etc., in other words, the things that Democrats do best.
When he was President, he mocked Donald Trump, who was a guest at the White House Correspondents Dinner. You can find it on YouTube and it's quite apparent his hatred for Trump is real and that Trump didn't react well. I maintain that it was at that dinner that Trump, who had flirted with running for President for years, was galvanized to finally go full in and actually commit to it.
I'm glad he did. But Obama has done everything he can to destroy Trump ... perhaps in more ways than we will ever know.
Or perhaps as payback for Trump's "birther" nonsense.

Aside from flattering and publicly defending Putin murdering journalists and equivocating his repressions to America's conduct?
Aside from standing next to Putin in Helsinki, talking about how he trusts Putin over high confidence findings of American intelligence?
Aside from him talking about possible hostile take over of other countries, which undermines international law and legitimizes Putin's aggression?
Aside from refusing to recognize Russia as the aggressor, refusing to provide any further military aid to Ukraine and pressuring them to give away their territories without any real security guarantees?

Fact Check: Did Trump lift sanctions on Russia in June 2025?
The viral post had a screenshot of a document by the Department of Treasury claiming that it showed Trump had 'lifted sanctions on Russia'
An X user shared a post featuring the alleged screenshot. The caption of the post read, "BREAKING: Donald Trump lifts sanctions on Russia, allowing U.S. transactions with sanctioned Russian banks — including Sberbank, VTB and even the Central Bank — for civil nuclear projects."
Moreover, the document was titled "General License No. 115B - Authorizing Certain Transactions Related to Civil Nuclear Energy."
Furthermore, it showed General License No. 115B (GL 115B), issued by the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control on June 27, 2025, authorized specific limited transactions with certain sanctioned Russian entities.
However, the document circulating in social media posts is real and was an update to a license first issued under the administration of former President Joe Biden, Snopes reported.
The full text of GL 115B is available on the Treasury's website and shows that the license was issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, an agency within the Treasury, on June 27, 2025, during Trump's second term in office, under an executive order that was signed by Biden.

You spin the wheels but you have no idea why.
If you read again what I've said, Trump ran on lifting sanctions in 2016, that were placed on Russia for annexation of Crimea and hybrid warfare in Eastern Ukraine. That obviously made Trump a preffered candidate during the election for Putin from economic perspective.

Can it possibly refute that in 2016 Trump as a candidate was advocating against sanctions on Russia? No it can't.
