He addressed the expert witnesses at the hearing, and then launched into the quote in question: "Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle with tensions having built so high that it is going to explode at some point."

Joe Biden was quoting racist comments when he used the N-word in 1985

CLAIM: A video from a 1985 hearing exposes Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden for using the N-word, stating: “We already have a n----- mayor, we don’t need any more n-----big shots!”
AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. Biden was not making the statement himself, he was reading a racist statement made by a state legislator during a redistricting process in Louisiana that was overseen by a deputy attorney general nominee. Biden was questioning the nominee under oath about the comments during a U.S. Senate hearing.
THE FACTS: Social media users are twisting comments made by Biden during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing 35 years ago for the nomination of William Bradford Reynolds as U.S. deputy attorney general.
Biden was using the comments at the time to build a case against Reynolds’ nomination, pointing out that he ignored racist comments by lawmakers and allowed them to gerrymander Louisiana’s congressional districts in a way that underrepresented Black residents.

Wait so we're supposed to judge the founders using today's standards but give xiden a pass for being a racist because in 1985 it wasn't so "taboo"?
It's amazing how many liberals on here are so willing to compromise their own principles in order to support and defend some old, white racist with a "D" after his name.
Kinda makes one wonder, doesn't it?

Biden shouldn't have said it back then. But where the dishonesty comes into this is the fact that Biden is not saying those things today and his policies aren't saying it either. trump was a racist back then and when he was president his policies were racist. I'm black and I am quite sure every white president we have supported used the fucking n word during his motherfucking life. But we look at policies as black folks and trump was spewing racist rhetoric and enacting racist policies. There is a reason you white supremacists love him and thats why we don't.
So Mortimer concern yiurself with how white supremacists treat your Romani brothers and sisters instead of pumping up white supremacists in here.
I smoke weed but I only appropriate a dull white existence.Biden shouldn't have said it back then. Im not supporting "white supremacists" but Biden is a devil for many reasons and Im sure he is a white supremacist too, if you disagree with his policies he will attack you for being black. Look at the suppossed liberals on this forum and I noticed it elsewhere and in real life too that if you disagree with them, they will attack you and be racist to you, look how they are racist to me they call me racial slurs because I dont support LGBTQ rights, abortion etc.. The white supremacists are atleast more honest and you know where they stand. In my life I was mistreated by so called anti-fa, or just white people who smoke weed and appropriate black culture, and anarachistic anti-fa punks etc. They were racist to me. I knew I wont be the friend of the skinheads, because they are skinheads, but I made the mistake to not realize that the left guys or what they are suppossed to be are also racist.
