I ran across the .22 lr 44 DL (top) a couple of weeks ago and the .22 mag 44 DLM this morning. Sears brand or not it's the first tube-fed Levermatics I've seen out in the wild for years.

They are certainly man-sized .22s coming in at a bit over 8# each.

The .22 Mag 44 DLM I got this morning had a Redfield 2 x 7x 32 on it and unlike the .22 LR it used a steel rather than alloy receiver. No serial so pre-68 but it's a very early one given the 24" barrel, possibly 1955, the first year of production.

Marlin made them for Sears (J C Higgins) and they are a lot more rare than the Marlin 57 and 57M. Other than the branding the only real difference is the lever which is cast stainless steel where the Marlins were blued steel.
