What I'm saying is that ANY of those method would have looked like overkill on a 19 y/o girl. To me anyway. I guess I can't wrap my mind around a 19 y/o having the nerve and sheer disrespect for the law to do such a thing. Intellectually I know they should just be treated like another criminal when they do so, but I still think of them as a child.

I didn't say that. I said it would appear as overkill to someone, not me personally. I mean we are already hearing the "she is just a teenager" crowd and no matter what this guy did the reaction would have been the same.

in my own personal opinion. The guy should have either pepper sprayed or tazered her, pepper spray if he was equipped with both.

If memory serves, cops generally use a modified wristlock that's less likely to break one's wrist. Most maneuvers used by police are designed to inflict minimal damage.


This guy... seems to have skipped the classes about subduing a resisting subject. The worst part is, the longer it went on, the more agitated the crowd got. His incompetence in subduing the subject prolonged the altercation, leading to increased risk of the situation escalating further with the involvement of the surrounding persons.
