When do the mass resignations begin?

In her letter, Ms. Sassoon said that Mr. Bove had scolded a member of her team for taking notes during the meeting and ordered that the notes be collected at the meeting’s end.

Ms. Sassoon also wrote that her office had proposed a superseding indictment against the mayor that would have added a charge of conspiracy to obstruct justice. The charge, she wrote, would have been “based on evidence that Adams destroyed and instructed others to destroy evidence and provide false information to the F.B.I.” It would also have included additional accusations about his “participation in a straw donor scheme.”

Why would Bove object to members of Sassoon's team taking notes?
its called politics.....a pretty dirty business....

The resignation of 6 DoJ officials for being directed to do something blatantly unethical is a rarity. But it almost happened once before during trump 1.0.

Former DOJ officials detail threatening to resign en masse in meeting with Trump

Of course there was also the Saturday Night Massacre during Nixon's day.
Cowards.

Should have stayed and opposed it if they really thought that.

More likely, they were planning to leave any way due to Trump derangement.

I’d say work on both your redundancy and your gullibility.

Also specificity. What was the “something blatantly unethical?”

Read it.

You should read Sassoon's letter. It explains why she resigned in her own words.

This matter isn't over. If Bove finds someone with a disregard for justice equal to his that person will have to go in front of the presiding judge and explain why the charges are being dropped. The judge can then schedule a hearing so the facts of the matter can be revealed. That is very, very, very bad for Emil.

It's called trumpian politics. Meaning corruption. This time he got called on it.
you are gone berg....our congress has been accused of being crooks for years and yet it only matters if trump is president...

The prez does not have the authority to withhold congressionally approved funds. On his call to Zelensky Dontard did not say he was withholding funds because of fraud. He wanted Zelensky's help in smearing Biden before the 2020 campaign.
/----/ Did anyone tell Joe this?

Joe Biden leveraged aid to remove top prosecutor as part anti-corruption efforts

It's true that Joe Biden leveraged $1 billion in aid to persuade Ukraine to oust its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in March 2016. But it wasn't because Shokin was investigating Burisma. It was because Shokin wasn't pursuing corruption among the country's politicians.

Of Ulbricht deserves life in prison…then every CEO of any platform that enables nefarious activities deserves the same.

Lets make it a law. CEO of Verizon is responsible for anything planned and carried out with a Verizon Cell phone.

Why don’t you want to just say it? Is it that embarrassing?

Never mind I looked it up. Quit because she doesn’t get to legally lynch an uppity black. What suffering heroine. 🙄

Don't be afraid to read the letter.

Dear Attorney General Bondi:

On February 10, 2025, I received a memorandum from acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, directing me to dismiss the indictment against Mayor Eric Adams without prejudice, subject to certain conditions, which would require leave of court. I do not repeat here the evidence against Adams that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that he committed federal crimes; Mr. Bove rightly has never called into question that the case team conducted this investigation with integrity and that the charges against Adams are serious and supported by fact and law. Mr. Bove's memo, however, which directs me to dismiss an indictment returned by a duly constituted grand jury for reasons having nothing to do with the strength of the case, raises serious concerns that render the contemplated dismissal inconsistent with my ability and duty to prosecute federal crimes without fear or favor and to advance good-faith arguments before the courts.

When I took my oath of office three weeks ago, I vowed to well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I was about to enter. In carrying out that responsibility, I am guided by, among other things, the Principles of Federal Prosecution set forth in the Justice Manual and your recent memoranda instructing attorneys for the Department of Justice to make only good faith arguments and not to use the criminal enforcement authority of the United States to achieve political objectives or other improper aims. I am also guided by the values that have defined my over ten years of public service. You and I have yet to meet, let alone discuss this case. But as you may know, I clerked for the Honorable J. Harvie Wilkinson III on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and for Justice Antonin Scalia on the U.S. Supreme Court. Both men instilled in me a sense of duty to contribute to the public good and uphold the rule of law, and a commitment to reasoned and thorough analysis. I have always considered it my obligation to pursue justice impartially, without favor to the wealthy or those who occupy important public office, or harsher treatment for the less powerful.

Just this once you might want to consider the facts instead of reflexively defending all things Don.
