Basically, you are a spacecraft that shoots the enemy by typing the word that covers their ship. Like galaxian, but shooting is the done by typing the correct letters.

My best score on my smartphone is 444. My youngest lad is on 1,357 but I think that's on a PC.

A useless crap game, but when you get bored......

Far better for your mental exercise is New York Times Wordle, a daily game.
Yesterday I got it on the second try again. Not easy when there are over 150,000 five-letter words.

Today the WORDLE was GIDDY. Took me four tries.
