The international legal standards for "refugee" status are quite high. You have to have a reasonable fear for your life if you remain in your home country. Essentially none of the people showing up at our borders meet those criteria. They are looking for economic betterment, one way or another, and accordingly they have NO RIGHT to come into the U.S., and even less than no right to be housed, fed, cared for, or re-settled into the U.S.

Can one of the Leftists posting here explain to me by what legal process has the U.S. taxpayer become financially responsible for taking care of these people? Where does Sleepy Joe get the MONEY or the LEGAL RIGHT to jettison U.S. law and assume these obligations?

A few years back they were sending up trial balloons about using some vacant Navy airfields to build camps like this. It would have meant roughly 50K young men and women entering the area with very little supervision. If they try that in my neck of the woods they'll realize they pushed the wrong folks.
