What's The Republican Beef w/Michael Steele and Colin Powell?

I don't have a beef or problem with either I don't agree with them on every issue but that doesn't mean I have some major problem with them.

Whats the beef with Black Congressional Caucus, NAACP, and Black Republicans. More intolerance from the left.

Powell was for affirm action, though the kind practiced by probably every fortune 500 corporation, and Steele is sort of milquetoast. The party needs someone like Rubio who won't even say creationism is snake oil. The question is whether the gop can win a natl election w/o their candidate being vetted on basic life beliefs.

and Using black people again.... their favorite pastime

Good point - as long as the far right demands their candidates be:

Anti-Abortion
Anti-gay marriage
Anti- path to citizenship
Climate change deniers
Anti-equal pay for women

They aren't gonna win a national election imho.

I think one way or another the nominee will be for amnesty, though there will probably be some poison pill like "securing the border first." The only way to secure the border is to register all the illegal aliens and make it severely painful to get caught hiring someone not registered. But, the gop will probably condition the amnesty on something that will never happen. I'm not sure that will satisfy many latinos, but it'll get past the media calling them (us?) batshite crazy.

On gays, we'll say "love the sinner hate the sin."

I don't see climate change or equal pay for women issues that would keep the gop from winning places like Ohio and Michigan.

Maybe. But I think the GOP's poor showing among women voters is something that needs to turnaround for Republicans to be more competitive nationally. Filibustering equal pay measures sure didn't help. I guess it's a matter of speculation as to how much it hurt them with women.
