They are conservatives.
They've served the party well. (in Powell's case too well, he lied and tarnished his character for the party)
Micheal Steele performed well as the RNC Chairman getting MOST of his nominees elected. (to be repaid by being voted out)
They vote Republican (well, Powell voted for Obama in the last 2 elections, but down the party line prior to that)
They spew modern day Conservative rhetoric, still fight for their party.

However, it seems that many, if not most, modern day Republicans, seem to have proverbially kicked them out of the party.

Why is this? What's your beef with these gentleman?

You have to be a mindless drone keeping in lock step with the Republican tribe.

Powell & Steele had a few original thoughts, so their out.

Michael Steele let the cat out of the bag that the GOP is plagued with bigots.

Can't have that getting out. It's a secret. Nobody woulda figured out there are tons of people in the GOP who hate minorities if Steele hadn't opened his yap. They could have gotten away with bashing blacks and gays and Muslims and Mexicans forever if he hadn't spoken out.

Oh, wait...

But what does Steele know, huh? Everybody knows the GOP loved black people...60 years ago...

And Lincoln. There's always Lincoln.

They have always loved gays, too. And Muslims. And Mexicans. Always. There's plenty of topics and posts by right wingers on this forum which prove that!

Oh, wait...

I think Colin Powell gave head to Food Stamp King Hussein Soetero or something. Wasn't that it? Or was that Christie?

My beef with Powell?? HA! I would have beef with any so-called Republican that endorses B.H. Obama for president twice.

I don't have a beef with Michael Steele. I don't think he a particularly smart politician and is a little too liberal for my liking, but I think he's a good man.

Powell supports climate change legislation, the ACA, amnesty as a path to immigration reform, he is against school choice and vouchers, is pro choice, played the race card entire (republican)party contains a dark vein of intolerance and as you mention Obama TWICE.

Where have you been?

Steel is Steel. MSNBC lightwieght conservative.

But aren't Republicans, on this very board even, always going on about how they are the Party that doesn't have to have their members be in lock step to be part of the Party? They brag out about it even.

How can what you're stating be true?

I don't know that repubs have all that much of a beef with Steele since he's a minor player. At least he doesn't live in his skin color the way most blacks who are bigoted democrat zombies do.
Powell, OTOH, sold out and endorsed the worst president in US history who has exacerbated racial segregation. Big strike against Powell for that.

No room for lightweight conservatives in the Republican Army, I mean party.

For one, Colin Powell belongs in the Democratic Party where he belongs. And who is Micheal Steele?

How asinine. Your party is running moderates out just the same, don't deny it.

He voted Democratic.
He was misled or misled us in the war.
He is pro-choice and may be pro-gay as well.

Not much is known about him since he left office.

A Senate report on intelligence failures would later detail the intense debate that went on behind the scenes on what to include in Powell's speech. State Department analysts had found dozens of factual problems in drafts of the speech. Some of the claims were taken out, but others were left in,....

Do you have a problem with that quote? I have problems with that quote for many reasons.

Powell didn't lie, you are the one repeating a lie. Not that you are lying I think you heard it enough that you believe it to be true. Being not proved correct is not the same as lying.

I have heard nothing about Powell lately. Certainly you would not expect someone you just called a liar to be nominated for president do you? Powell did a bad thing for the last 8 years. He supported Obama and if Powell is truly a conservative, he did it for one reason and we all know that reason. So Powell may now not be a favorite but he brought it on himself. But that is because he is indeed measured by the content of his character and not some smear about him lying.

Not sure what you want to know about Steele. He served as chairman and didn't get the job done, apparently. Again he was measured according to his ability and character and was replaced just as any man would be replaced.

Your concern is noted but I am not sure why liberals seem to care so much with what is going on in the Republican party.
