The Ds blew a gimme in 2016. They are in the process of blowing a gimme in the mid-terms. Their wealthy donors largely ignored them in April. Their polling numbers are slowly but surely sinking. Their base states will need a bailout and unless Trump and the Rs are taking stupid pills that bail out will come with an IRS team to examine the books with extreme prejudice. This will greatly lower federal bail out costs and the net worth of the politicians of the blue wall. This should greatly reduce D effectiveness in future elections.
