I just hope it's something we'll be able to ROLL BACK after obama is sent packing.

Why would we be fucked? Why couldn't it be rolled back in 4 or 8 years if it doesn't work?

Despite all the fear mongering, we do still live in a democracy. If it doesn't work and enough people want change, there will be change. Programs are nothing but a bunch of laws. Flawed laws can be changed. Prohibition was repealled, segregation laws have been repealled. If this passes and is a total failure, it can be reformed or totally repealled.

Why would we be fucked? Why couldn't it be rolled back in 4 or 8 years if it doesn't work? The only reason it couldn't be rolled back is if it is popular. If it is popular then it must be working well or at least perceived to be working well for most people.

Major healthcare reform is way overdo. You want to talk about being fucked, if you lose your job and get sick, then you are fucked. The right had 8 years to address the issue and did not, so tough luck.

Once a socialistic piece of shit like that gets passed and signed by the President there will be no do overs. We'll be screwed for the rest of our lives and probably for as long as the USA remains united for however few years we have left.

Give the President a week or two. He'll be pushing that archaic "55 Alive" BS before the month is out.

My guess is that if they really look into it, they will find out that many of those lives are lost because some asshole was doing 50 in a 70 MPH zone and someone doing 70 swerved to avoid the asshole.

I always look forward to a post like this, especially when it has Pale Rider. Try this, your doctor has just confirmed that you have pancreatic cancer. It could take you a year to die, and it will be one of the most painful experiences of your life. "Horrifying" and "terrifying," can't even describe it.

Fortunately, you have paid for health insurance ,so you are covered, Right? Then as you grow weaker, and the pain becomes more unbearable your insurance company starts to cut back on benefits you are entitled too. Benefits you have paid for! Happens every day. They know they can drag it out in court. You are too weak to do anything about it. And, you'll die before it goes to trial anyway.

Then they pull the plug. It is a simple phone call that goes like this. "Mr. Rider, we have been putting together a cost analysis of your illness. Unfortunately, you are going to run out of coverage before you die. Sorry about that, but we will not be paying the $6,000 a month you need for a nursing home, or hospice." Basically, your family, who has already suffered through this, gets to care for you, and pay the bills. Bankruptcy is the usual result.

Nope, sorry I don't have a source on that. It was something I saw happen while I was waiting to see a friend die of renal disease. They pulled the "cost analysis" gambit on my friend three (3) days after he was diagnosed with Renal Disease.

All I ask, is that after ObamaCare passes, and guys like you get some awful news about your health, I really want to be there. I want to look into your horror-filled eyes, smile, and as I leave, say, "have a nice day."

Good question. I heard a single young guy will save bigly but a 60 year old couple will see their prices skyrocket. Does anyone like this? Are young people so stupid to not think eventually they won't be old or get a pre existing condition?
