Is that a tricky question.?
Answer is 'Yes', btw.
Don't let it interrupt this interesting discussion, though.

no its about ethnic cleansing to a point and management of resources...these poor small countries are not able to support the growing populations...as long as structural damage is not too bad..the killing of large populations normally leaves the country stronger down the road....
Who is "WE" ?
The ones who actually have to face the consquences physically.
Then do something----seriously---just do it.
Then how about the Arabs depopulating themselves instead of sending refugees all over the world ?
Whatever little coalition or cabal came up with the idea of deposing the Assad regime needs to have their heads examined. They new full well that the man had chemical weapons. How in the hell did they expect to take Assad out and avoid the chemical weapons issue ? Did they think he would not use them in a last ditch effort to save his own life ?![]()
What were they thinking about? The hokey pokey of course.
They need to quit fucking pokeying around and take Assad out by themselves if they wish.

The smarter ones flee, the stupider ones stay there and are killed by Assad.
Pure evolution, before our very eyes.
Same thing happened with Hitler. He gave Jews fully eight years of warning and escalated throughout. Not because he was a nice guy but because it's a lot easier if people leave on their own than if the government has to round them up and kill them. Same deal with Edward II of England and Queen Isabella of Spain. First give plenty of warning, and then the smart ones emigrate and there is only a less-capable residue to round up and kill.
That's going on now in Syria, too. Because if Assad wins, what's he going to do? He's going to kill everyone of the rebel persuasion, of course, all the Sunnis. So they are running before he gets that far.
But he's aready killed a lot --- a hundred thousand, ten times what his father killed. And well over a million in refugee camps.
not to be picky but his wife is a sunni and has been very quiet of late
He didn't kill 100,000.
100,000 died in General.
Does anyone believe that the rebeles didn't kill women and children? because they did, and do. In masses.
There are no good guys and bad guys in this.
There are mostly just savages killing one another.

I bet she has.
Lord, I thought she was an American! Maybe that was his father's wife.
One of them.
I suppose he sent his family to Europe or somewhere.

Good point-----the rebels aren't exactly choirboys and are using neighborhoods as their battlefield. To claim Assad is responsible for all these deaths is bullshit. Personally I blame all the deaths since the "civil war" started on the coalition that set out to depose Assad.

Assad is the ones dropping bombs on resedential building, and taking out entire neighborhoods..
