I’m referring to Trump making remarks about the naming of this concentration camp. He thought it was very apropos to call it Alligator Alcatraz because he thinks that the alligators will act as guards and attack and eat any escaping prisoners. His Florida minions and even DeSantis know better but they are afraid to upset the emperor with the facts.

Oh, so in other words President Trump said something that hurt your feelings.

You realize there's a highway leaving from the camp back to civilization. And highway construction requires clear vision, shoulders, and drainage.
Which means any checkpoints to prevent detainees from just walking the highway out of there would be clearly visible, and they would only need to travel in the foliage to get around checkpoints. So their encounter with alligators would be minimal.

We used to live on a lake in Florida with an alligator for many years and all we ever saw of him when we were canoeing was the flash of his tail about 25 feet away after he saw us coming. They are very shy and they prefer ducks and fish for food, rather than humans.

If you've seen the occasional video on FB of an alligator in a neighborhood of houses, it is usually migrating to a new location because its territory has been infringed upon with construction or another alligator invading its space. They don't share territories.
