Or replace polling officials and registrars of voters.
After the election?
Before-even DURING if needed
How would that prevent repetition every election?
modern voter ID cards.
you swipe your card at any polling place anywhere and the ballot for your residence comes up.
you vote.
easy.
According to the Democrats, this is racist.

Well lets look at those numbers - shall we?
FACT CHECK: More Votes than Voters in Detroit?
Detailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books
So while elections officials in Detroit confirmed that voting irregularities involving excess vote counts existed, that issue was about inaccurate head counts taken by poll workers rather than fraud. The discrepancies mostly involved a handful of votes per precinct, and neither candidate was believed to have been favored by the errors.

So this was not 'more votes cast than registered voters'- first citation was incorrect and didn't support your thread.

In 2016, many (mostly Democrat-majority) voting precincts reported more votes cast than registered voters. Should we continue to allow them to defraud our elections? If not, what should/can we do about it?

I suggest that all of their reported votes be thrown out as inherently compromised, unless they can document which votes are legitimate.

What say you?

I say back it up with some facts instead of just making a statement otherwise it akin to discuss why martians are voting

If your referring to the Detroit over count

what we do know

Donald Trump won Michigan by 10,704 votes or 47.5 percent to 47.3 percent

certainly did not hurt him

Here is a breakdown of the irregularities in Detroit’s 662 precincts:

■236 precincts in balance — equal numbers of voters counted by workers and machines

■248 precincts with too many votes and no explanation (77 were 1 over; 62 were 2 over, 37 were 3 over, 20 were 4 over, 52 were 5 or more over).

■144 precincts with too few votes and no explanation (81 were 1 under, 29 were 2 under; 19 were 3 under; 7 were 4 under; 8 were 5 or more under)

■34 precincts out of balance but with an explanation

out of balance were about 1 to 5 votes
they were either under or over with about 160 no explanation irregularities

could be human error but does not make a difference. It is unknown if correct procedures or if this is a true case of fraud which caused the irregularities.

This happen in 2016.

In 2017 “There was no pervasive fraud found in our audit of Detroit. We did not find widespread voting machine problems," Thomas said at a news conference Thursday. "We did find widespread performance issues that tracked back to the training by the Detroit city clerk."

There was a recount and because of the above irregularities found it was stopped and Trump narrowly won Michigan. So did it favor Trump these irregularities.

As part of a review of the Nov. 8 election, the Secretary of State's election staff found 31 people voted twice, including 14 in Detroit — once by absentee and once in person at the polls.

Still without knowing who they voted for it still is a less than .01 percent of the total vote

In a perfect world it would be 0 human errors but we do not live in a perfect word

Human error is part of any equation but systematic fraudulent activities will always be discovered.

Just ask the RNC about the consent agreement that were under for decades. It would have been shorter but judges found that they were continuing their activities that put them under this consent.

That is systematic fraudulent activities when the culprits are caught with their hands in the cookie jar and have to make a plea agreement in order to avoid jail time.

I haven't heard of any cases in which there were more votes cast than there were registered voters in that precinct. Can you link some?

Chicago Had More Votes Than Voters in 2016 Elections
This one its hard to find much info on- this was based upon- shockingly- a Republican analysis- disputed by Chicago's head of elections

Jim Allen, a board spokesman, said that the list turned over to the Chicago Republicans was incomplete and handed over prematurely.

“Not all voters were entered electronically into the system at first,” he said. “They have since been added.”

But congrats- you did provide a citation that actually was on topic!

There of course has been no conclusive report showing there were actual more votes cast than actual voters.

Fact check: Do 11 California counties have more voters than eligible adults?
Of course this last one has nothing to do with 'more votes cast than there were registered voters in the precinct"

This citation has to do with voter registration.

So to recap- you provided 3 citations to support the premise of your thread- only one actually supported your topic.

So what to do with 'over-reporting districts'?
Well first you have to find some. That apparently is really, really, really hard to do.
Then you need to see there appears to be over reporting.
IF there appears to be voter fraud, then investigate the voter fraud and prosecute those committing the fraud.

Not complicated.

Still waiting for this guy to get prosecuted:

Records: Too many votes in 37% of Detroit’s precincts
That says that there were more votes recorded than were cast. It doesn't say that there were more votes recorded than there were voters registered.

So that's out.

There is nothing to back that claim up offered in the article. It simply states that 'republican groups found'. With no corroborating evidence. So we have an uncorroborated accusation by a republican group.

Worse, in the same article epoch times article misrepresents the Detroit precincts issue, claiming (falsely) that more votes were recorded than there were eligible voters. That's not true. More votes were recorded than votes were cast.

It doesn't say that there were more votes recorded than there were voters registered. Quite the opposite in fact. The claim the article discusses is that there are more registered voters than eligible voters. Meaning that the voter registration may need to be purged of folks that have moved, died or become ineligible to vote.

So where are these districts where more people are voting than are registered?
