He is known for accusing the NYPD of being systemically racist, and as such, needs to be defunded. On the other hand, after the recent shootings in New York he praised the very people that he condemned and wanted removed.

No matter, the Left wing loons in New York will line up to vote for him anyway.

In December 2024, just months into his mayoral campaign, Mamdani wrote on social media: “As Mayor, I will disband the SRG, which has cost taxpayers millions in lawsuit settlements and brutalized countless New Yorkers exercising their First Amendment rights.” The SRG were the first responders he later praised after the shooting in New York.

And even more concerning is another post he made stating, "We don’t need an investigation to know that the NYPD is racist, anti-queer & a major threat to public safety. What we need is to #DefundTheNYPD.”

That sounds about right. The Left never needs to investigate or in need of a judicial system, because they are the law and know all.

Hours after the shooting, Mamdani released a statement on social media expressing grief and solidarity. “I am heartbroken over this horrific shooting,” he wrote. “I am holding the victims, their families, and the NYPD officer in critical condition in my thoughts. Grateful for all of our first responders on the ground.”

Why did he not continue to say they were systemically racist and not needed like you imply?

Is he just embracing hypocrisy to tone down his radicalism to get elected?

Why not just say, "Burn in hell you unneeded hateful and racist fascists!!!"
