What team will sign Shohei Ohtani?

Thank goodness it wasn't the Cubs. What a terrible contract. Just take $350MM of that and burn it in a barrel right now.

Well there you go, Dodgers buy another MVP. I wonder if they get bounced in the playoffs again they will fire Roberts or keep buying MVPs until they win a World Series.

They just handed out two mega contracts to Betts and Turer. So they had to defer a lot of Ohtani's salary. So they will be paying him for 20(?) years for maybe 3 seasons of peak performance.

they do a lot of choking.....
That's the dilemma of signing these superstars. The goal is to win a World Series.

Ohtani got an extra $200MM to hit an extra HR every 10 games compared to his possible replacement. Well that roughly translates to one extra HR every 2 playoff series.

That's not going to put a team over the top.

well the only thing for certain right now is.....J.D. Martinez has just lost his job....

We are looking from the outside. Inside, mgt is seeing $$$ filling Chavez Ravine. It's a great move.

However... let's see some clutch from Dodgerville.

10 years, $700 Million and he has maybe 2 more years of pitching and then he's a DH. That's a whole lotta cheddar for a DH.

i dont know how many more they can get in .....they are usually no 1 in attendance......
Exactly. How much more "extra" revenue can he generate? The word is that he generated $70MM "extra" revenue per year, for the Angels. But there is more room to expand revenue for the lowly Angels than there is for the Dodgers.
