What’s wrong with news reporting today on TV and radio news commentators who think they are qualified to comment on news, events of the day and in newspapers and magazines and write books and they are only capable of opening their mouth and making sounds come out and people are controlled by these sounds. People like Fox & Friends three stooges, Scarborough, Dobbs, Geraldo, Grace, Rush, Hannity, O’Reilly, Manders, S. Miller, Coulter, and the list goes on and on. We just do not have commentators like the Golden Age of Cronkite, Huntley and Brinkley.

Well ya only Fox has people commenting on the News. Perhaps the author of this drivel should actually watch Fox and then critically compare it to the other News networks. He may actually be shocked to find when he removes his colored glasses they all engage in similar antics and similar manners of "commenting" on the News.

In fact the ONLY thing wrong with Fox when compared to the other Networks is, rather then a left lean it has a right lean on its NON News shows. And guess what guys? Remind me again? Which Network has the highest ratings of all the news Networks?

Thankfully for all of us, our benovalent masters understand that fact.

Well Scarborugh is from MSNBC, and Dobbs is from CNN.. But all the names mentioned are right leaning commentators, so the obvious bias is clear.. Olberman is just as bad as O'Reilly and the rest...

Too bad the author of this had to ruin a good point with liberal bias.

There isn't much reporting of "the news." They spend 5 minutes on real news and then the next 4 hours parading pundits in and out giving their "opinions." It's a pathetic joke. Yeah Fox News is just as guilty of it as the rest, but don't single them out and try and spin it as though they're the only ones doing it. ABC, NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, CBS, the list goes on, weighted heavily with far more LIBERAL bias than conservative. They're all guilty.

I do like the BBC - especially what they broadcast to Europe.

One thing American 'news' casters do that irritates me beyond anything else... asking people to predict the future or comment on how another player 'feels' about a given situation.

When I hear phrases like "what do you think was going through the Governors mind when he did that?" makes me switch to a sit-com re-run. I've seen a lot of 'Friends' episodes lately...

I think the primary question for the mainstream news papers in this country is, "Are you intending on doing your job for the next 4 years or should we all just cancel our subscriptions now?"

So far the Washington Post ombudsman has come out and said that the Post was biased in its reporting of the election towards Obama. The question is will it continue to report in that fashion or will it control itself somehow?

In the broadcast networks, it seems to me that the success of Fox has had an unintended consequence. It used to be that all the other networks had an undercurrent of left-wing bias. (Except when there was blood in the water. Once blood is in the water, reporters will be all over it bias or no bias). But now, we have MSLSD deciding that they should be "hard left" propaganda machine (one upping Fox to the left). The other networks have appeared to take a more moderate shift to the left, but they are considerably more flagrant about their bias than in the past.

The question is really the same for them. Does politics mean more than being a journalist to you?

It will be interesting to watch whether any substantive journalism occurs in the next 6 months in this country.

"Facts" can't be biased. Facts are facts.

Reporters can and are biased.

The difference between the conservative commentators and the left is that conservative commentators IDENTIFY themselves and their politics.

The left leaning media does not. They portray themselves as moderate, as middle of the road, as objective. They are anything but.

For example...how often do you hear anyone on CNN or CBS or NBC identifying a politician as "liberal"? And yet they take pains to point out every "conservative" they report about. Why is that? It's because they don't see liberals as liberal. They see them as "sane" and "just" and "right".

Why do they not report on bias against things they are biased against? Because they believe it is RIGHT to maintain a bias against those things...which include (but are not limited to) Christianity, military conflicts. Why do they not report on the atrocities committed by our enemies..yet fall all over themselves to find disgruntled servicemen and women, and search high and low for enemies who will tell stories of atrocities committed by our guys?
