What of the J6 protestors?

Does a presidential pardon clear your record?

No. Expungement is a judicial remedy that is rarely granted by the court and cannot be granted within the Department of Justice or by the President. Please also be aware that if you were to be granted a presidential pardon, the pardoned offense would not be removed from your criminal record.

None of them were ever charged with sedition or insurrection. Which shows you how full of shit democrats are!

Full pardons & open the door for them to sue the US gov't and certain individual democrats for wrongful imprisonment, denial of civil rights, torture, and malicious prosecution.
Their right to sue ran out two years ago.

Yes.

And tried in the Constitutionally mandated jurisdiction.
No, there was no trial, by their peers, it was a kangaroo court made by the likes of Adam Schitface and two face daughter of Satan Liz Cheney who brought bull shit charges. But now that Republicans are in charge, the truth will come out and prove that Jan 6th was a set up like Adolf Hitler did with the Reichstag Fire in Germany.

Schiff and Cheney did not file any charges.

Not any more, the precedence was set by NYC against President Trump and the stormy Daniels case. Once again, the Democrats open pandoras box and will have to reap the whirlwind they have created.
Civil torts, have a two year statute of limitations. Such as car accidents, or slipping on a sidewalk.

How much time do I have to file a claim under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA)? You have two years from the date of the event to file a claim with OPM under the FTCA for injury or damage

The statute of limitations runs out in a year and 3 quarters?

Me no thunk so.

If you are pardoned, there are no longer any penalties. It's like it never happened as far as the law goes. Who gives a shit if it is written down somewhere.

There has been much talk and speculation about what Trump would do once he returns to the Oval Office. I was thinking about the event, the people involved and the aftermath. Well, here's my perspective on it:

1. As far as I am concerned, the entire riot, and it was just that a riot, not some "insurrection" as loonie Leftists would portray it.
2. People participating in it were idiots.
3. Sedition is way overcharging
4. Full pardons would also be inappropriate.

So, where does that leave us? I think that these people should be held accountable, but not have their lives completely ruined.
Therefore: Non-criminal trespass and time served! How's that?
That bastard that shot and killed that woman needs to go to prison for murder.

Wrong. If you fill out a form where it asks if you've ever been convicted of a felony, you have to check the [YES] box.

, both your
conviction and pardon will show on your record. Therefore, even if you are granted a pardon, you must still disclose your conviction
on any form where such information is required, although you may also disclose the fact that you received a pardon. I

Maybe the absurd sentences that were passed out like candy can be a starting point in cleaning up the DOJ swamp. I was told that people who just put their hands out and touched the police shields that were moving toward them were charged with assaulting police. To me, these arrests were no different than all those bogus charges brought against Trump. They were all ways of influencing the 2022 and 2024 elections. I'm sure there were some bad actors on J6, and they should be punished on a case by case basis, but those who were just present and did no damage should be fully pardoned. MAGA

But my thinking is they should not get off scott-free either. Non-criminal trespass doesn't even pass the smell test where degree of criminality is concerned (violation) and time served=immediate release.
Degree of criminality? It is ZERO, just like the number of guns and weapons brought. If Trump does not pardon every single one of those citizens who were exercising their First Amendment rights, he will be just as guilty as Biden.
