Can you name any REALLY good movie in say the past 10 years?
Tall Men

The story of Miyamoto Musashi, the greatest warrior who ever lived. He won 61 duels to the death. He killed a 19 year old man in his first duel at the age of 13!!!

At the end of the month, it will be a full decade since the last time that I ever set foot inside of a movie theater and so I guess to answer your question, no I can't name a really good movie within the past ten years because I have not seen one yet.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. Parental Guidance is the film that I saw in the theater ten years ago. It was good, but it was actually a film that I did not have to pay to see because I had a coupon to get in free.

The 1990s had some great film too. WHen was it that hollywood started the boring and repetitive remakes of films they should have left alone.

A couple nights ago i ran across an ABRIDGED copy of It's a Wonderful Life. An ABRIDGED copy. LOLOL They ruined it. Badly edited, ruined the film, took out all relevance not to mention the story line. I was stunned. These hollywood 'censors' have lost all discernment, creativity, judgement, cohesiveness.

First time I ever saw that movie, it was a PBS version for blind people but I didn't know it. I watched all the way through thinking that the narrator saying things like, "she leans over and whispers into george's bad ear, knowing that he could not hear," was part of the movie.

Just a few recently:
Midsommar
Get Out
Knives Out
Parasite
Train to Busan
1917
JoJo Rabbit
John Wick
Dune
Jo Jo Rabbit was pretty good. The only other movies on your list that I’ve watched was Get Out and Knives Out. Personally I don’t know why those movies were critically acclaimed, but what do I know.

Midsommar is excellent cerebral horror. But if you haven't seen 1917 you must. Its terrifying epic and sometimes terrifying.
