In all probability there won't be an open Republican convention Donald Trump in the balance of primaries will secure enough delegates to reach the 1237 threshold. But on the remote chance there is Republican Party supporters need to dump a lot of the claims being touted in this election season. One major meritless claim is that Donald Trump has bought all these new voters into the Republican Party, let us see things clearly these new Republican primary voters have come to the Trump Presidential campaign they have not come to the Republican Party. If Donald Trump has a heart attack and dies today and the Republican Party goes out and finds a Republican that will hold the same exact policy positions that Donald Trump now holds on every issue one cannot have a high level of confidence these new voters will be with the Trump replacement in a general election. Let us be honest these new voters are with the Trump campaign because of Donald Trump's extraordinary aggressive style they believe Mr. Trump will knock down any obstacles in his way to get them a good middle class income, affordable health care and the great America they miss! Let nobody kid anyone else here if Donald Trump is elected President and in four years he has not substantially delivered on his "make America Great Again" promise these new voters will disappear it will be like they never existed for the Republican Party!
The other big meritless claim is that if there is an open convention because no candidate reaches the 1237 threshold and the nomination does not go to the candidate with the highest number of delegates coming into the convention that the voters of this leading candidate have been disenfranchised. This disenfranchise label is unjustified incitement, divisive and a mischaracterization. America's political system is that for Presidential primaries, the vote American citizens cast in presidential primaries only bounds a delegate from their state at the Party National Convention for the first round of voting in subsequent voting rounds more delegates are unbound in each round and are free to vote their conscience; America has a delegate system for selecting Presidential candidates not a direct popular vote system and this is the way a delegate system works any claims that if the delegate system doesn't produce the same result as the popular vote system American citizens were disenfranchised is simply and plainly unjust and the proponents of this vitriolic incitement should just knock it off! The hundred plus million of Americans that support the Republican Party and are serious and very responsible about that support need to ask themselves are they going to allow themselves to be bullied and intimidated by the likes of Sean Hannity and other people with an agenda that does not include being fully fair about the running of the Republican Party convention this year because if they do the principles of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan our party's premier standard bearers will not be upheld!
