In his lecture "Innovating to zero" Mr. Bill Gates seems to be linking the value of each human life to our "Carbon Footprint?"

His idea is founded almost totally on the idea that the Al Gore "Carbon Tax Thesis" is the best and most effective way to address the supposed threats of climate change to all eight billion of us.

I believe on the other hand that a Carbon Tax will do essentially NOTHING to prevent ocean levels from rising and I have been advocating deliberately turning deserts green instead of any variation on a Carbon Tax. I believe that for the next decades to two centuries the threat of rising ocean levels is the threat that should be concentrated on?

I believe that deliberately turning deserts green is the most logical way to address climate change because every cubic meter of sea water that is desalinated and added to the water table of a nation with lots of desert will directly address the threat of rising ocean levels and will produce MORE FOOD!

I believe that the Life Review of near death experience accounts hints strongly that we humans have an Inventor and Creator and Designer who is composed of something like "Energy from Quantum Vacuum" who places such infinitely high value on each human life that the Spirit of Moshiach stored in Gan Eden, or the Word - Logos, was sent to this earth two millennia ago, in order to taste death on behalf of every human being, [so that we humans would not have to experience the Second Death?]

Sometimes hearing an idea over and over again will make it very difficult for us to catch onto the huge implications in that quotation?

I am of the belief that the Life Review of near death experience accounts strongly hints that all eight billion of us have a Creator who has set up all of us as Reality Film Stars, [from the point of view of our Creator], and INFINITE VALUE IS PLACED ON EACH HUMAN LIFE!

Why would our Creator bother to "record" our thoughts, our intentions, our emotions, our actions, our decisions and how our words and actions have affected everybody around us if our lives were not of ETERNAL Value over infinite time in the future?

Former Atheist and near death experiencer Howard Storm does a brilliant job, [in my opinion anyway], of explaining how Atheists and Agnostics, are not judged by some sort of religion specific rules and regulation, but are instead judged on how they treat their family, their friends and everybody that we have the privilege to be in contact with.

[Howard Storm] :

"4. The Life Review of Howard Storm

Next, they wanted to talk about my life. To my surprise my life played out before me, maybe six or eight feet in front of me, from beginning to end.

The life review was very much in their control, and they showed me my life, but not from my point of view. I saw me in my life and this whole thing was a lesson, even though I didn’t know it at the time. They were trying to teach me something, but I didn’t know it was a teaching experience, because I didn’t know that I would be coming back. We just watched my life from beginning to the end. Some things they slowed down on, and zoomed in on and other things they went right through.

My life was shown in a way that I had never thought of before. All of the things that I had worked to achieve, the recognition that I had worked for, in elementary school, in high school, in college, and in my career, they meant nothing in this setting.

I could feel their feelings of sorrow and suffering, or joy, as my life’s review unfolded. They didn’t say that something was bad or good, but I could feel it. And I could sense all those things they were indifferent to. They didn’t, for example, look down on my high school shot-put record. They just didn’t feel anything towards it, nor towards other things which I had taken so much pride in.

What they responded to was how I had interacted with other people. That was the long and short of it. Unfortunately, most of my interactions with other people didn’t measure up with how I should have interacted, which was in a loving way. Whenever I did react during my life in a loving way they rejoiced.

Most of the time I found that my interactions with other people had been manipulative. During my professional career, for example, I saw myself sitting in my office, playing the college professor, while a student came to me with a personal problem. I sat there looking compassionate, and patient, and loving, while inside I was bored to death. I would check my watch under my desk as I anxiously waited for the student to finish.

I got to go through all those kinds of experiences in the company of these magnificent beings."

Infinite.
Yes, it seems to me the Ancient of Days the Heavenly Father would not have sent Messiah Yeshua - Jesus to pay off all of our debt unless our Creator regarded us as having infinite value.

I believe that infinite effort over infinite time by an infinitely well informed Creator, was invested in our creation. That astonishing high valuation that has been placed within us is hinted at strongly by those near death experience accounts that more and more of us are having as medical technology increases.

The Howard Storm near death experience is kind of scary but the Robert Marshall NDE from 2024 is extremely positive and encouraging.

A team of doctors, nurses and medical personnel in Forth Worth, Texas can say that they were involved in assisting The Being of Light of near death experience fame to accomplish an amazing medical miracle.

PROFOUND NDE: BRAIN DEAD for 90 MINUTES; Met JESUS in HEAVEN & RETURNED w/ MESSAGE | Robert Marshall

Robert Marshall recounts his near-death experience, detailing his three-day coma and subsequent resurrection on May 17, 2024. He describes his time in heaven, where he interacted with Jesus, his father, and pets, and learned about the Bible and the new heavens and earth. Despite being brain dead for 90 minutes, he miraculously recovered with a new brain and body. His wife's determination and a living will prevented the doctors from ending life support. Robert emphasizes the miraculous nature of his recovery and his mission to share his experiences and teachings. Robert Marshall recounts his near-death experience, detailing how he died on May 19, 2024, and returned to life on May 23, 2024. He describes the disbelief and amazement of his family and friends upon his return, emphasizing the medical evidence of his death and resurrection. Robert shares the message he received from Jesus, urging doctors and nurses to trust in divine timing and their roles in performing miracles. He reflects on his transformation from an arrogant, competitive person to a kinder, more compassionate individual.

We have carnivores and omnivores. We literally eat other life forms.

Why would you create that if you cared about life? Why would you allow life to die if you cared?

That is an exceptionally good question?

The best guess that I can make after researching near death experience accounts since 1990 and the Jewish and Christian scriptures since the early 1970's is that former Covering Cherub Helel , who is known to Christians as "Lucifer - Satah," has talked the Heavenly Father and Messiah Yeshua - Jesus and the Holy Spirit into allowing him to do Psychological Research on us humans, somewhat along the line of the psychological research that was done of the Patriarch and Prophet Job!

No God + No Power = BS.
Could you clarify what you mean by this comment please?

I believe that your comment could be understood in two very different ways.

What is the true value of each human life? I don't know. That is a question that isn't for me to decide.

No. A human life has no value by itself. The value of a human life comes from it being lived properly.
I believe that the Being of Light of near death experience fame has invested an astonishing amount in the technology that is obvious from the Life Review of NDE accounts.

I believe that our life stories will ultimately have eternal value for others over infinite time in the future.

But if you and I begin to understand that our lives are more valuable than we can begin to imagine then we will likely tend to rise up out of the problems and personal flaws that we are facing.

I have a somewhat different take. I believe that Being of Light is merely a manifestation of human beliefs. In reality I believe it’s simply the Universal Power that judges our souls and either allows us to move onward to a better place, dooms us to eternal torment or sentences the soul to a period of reeducation before sending it back to try again.

There is a lot of evidence for your ideas on what the Being of Light is doing. I found what was shown to former Atheist Mellen Thomas Benedict truly encouraging. What he was shown was that the Creator has worked and designed and planned and created over infinite time in the past.

What mystics call the Void is not a void. It is so full of energy, a different kind of energy that has created everything that we are. Everything since the Big Bang is vibration, from the first Word, which is the first vibration. The biblical “I am” really has a question mark after it. “I am — What am I?” So creation is God exploring God’s Self through every way imaginable, in an ongoing, infinite exploration through every one of us. I began to see during my NDE that everything that is, is the Self, literally, your Self, my Self. Everything is the great Self. That is why God knows even when a leaf falls. That is possible because wherever you are is the center of the universe. Wherever any atom is, that is the center of the universe. There is God in that, and God in the Void.

As I was exploring the Void during my life after death experience and all the Yugas or creations, I was completely out of time and space as we know it. In this expanded state, I discovered that creation is about Absolute Pure Consciousness, or God, coming into the Experience of Life as we know it. The Void itself is devoid of experience. It is pre life, before the first vibration. Godhead is about more than Life and Death. Therefore there is even more than Life and Death to experience in the Universe!

When I realized this I was finished with the Void, and wanted to return to this creation, or Yuga. It just seemed like the natural thing to do. Then I suddenly came back through the second light, or the Big Bang, hearing several more velvet booms. I rode the stream of consciousness back through all of creation, and what a ride it was! The super clusters of galaxies came through me with even more insights. I passed through the center of our galaxy, which is a black hole. Black holes are the great processors or recyclers of the Universe. Do you know what is on the other side of a Black Hole? We are; our galaxy, which has been reprocessed from another Universe. In its total energy configuration, the galaxy looked like a fantastic city of lights. All energy this side of the Big Bang is light. Every sub atom, atom, star, planet, even consciousness itself is made of light and has a frequency and/or particle. Light is living stuff. Everything is made of light, even stones. So everything is alive. Everything is made from the light of God; everything is very intelligent.

To me, the value of life has or should have nothing to do with religion. Each of us ought to value the life of every other person on the planet, however problematic that might be. After all, there is quite a number of total assholes out there, including some sadistic bastards, but should we take away the option to reform and change oneself? As badly as we might want to, we shouldn't take some mofo out in the woods somewhere and shoot him/her. Life should have value, even for the unborn and the murderer.

That is a good point. Near death experiencers are being shown that that is how we should think and behave.

[Near death experiencer Howard Storm] :

They explained to me that their concern was for all the people of the world. They weren’t interested in one group getting ahead of other groups. They want every person to consider every other person greater than their own flesh. They want everyone to love everyone else, completely; more, even, than they love themselves. If someone, someplace else in the world hurts, then we should hurt, we should feel their pain. And we should help them. Our planet has evolved to the point, for the first time in our history, that we have the power to do that. We are globally linked. And we could become one people.

The people that they gave the privilege of leading the world into a better age, blew it. That was us, in the United States.

When I spoke with them about the future, and this might sound like a cop-out on my part, they made clear to me that we have free will.

If we change the way we are, then we can change the future which they showed me. They showed me a view of the future, at the time of my experience, based upon how we in the United States were behaving at that time. It was a future in which a massive worldwide depression would occur. If we were to change our behavior, however, then the future would be different.

Viktor Frankl
It is for you to decide. You define the meaning of your life
Frankl's doctrine was that one must instill meaning in the events in one's life, and that work and suffering can lead to finding meaning, with this ultimately what would lead to fulfillment and happiness. In 1982 the scholar and Holocaust analyst Lawrence L. Langer, critical of what he called Frankl's distortions of the true experience of those at Auschwitz,[36]: 60–62  and of Frankl's amoral focus on "meaning", that in Langer's assessment could just as equally be applied to Nazis "finding meaning in making the world free from Jews",[36]: 62  went on to write that "if this [logotherapy] doctrine had been more succinctly worded, the Nazis might have substituted it for the cruel mockery of Arbeit Macht Frei" ["work sets free", read by those entering Auschwitz].[37] In Pytell's view, Langer also penetrated through Frankl's disturbing subtext that Holocaust "survival [was] a matter of mental health." Langer criticized Frankl's tone as self-congratulatory and promotional throughout, so that "it comes as no surprise to the reader, as he closes the volume, that the real hero of Man's Search for Meaning is not man, but Viktor Frankl" by the continuation of the same fantasy of world-view meaning-making, which is precisely what had perturbed civilization into the holocaust-genocide of this era and others.

Very interesting comment. In my many readings about The Holocaust I ran into the story about a Jewish lawyer who had seen so many people hating each other during his career, that he resolved to be different. He made it a point to say Hi to the German guards at the death camp where he was. If they were willing to talk he would ask them about their family and children. As you can guess this Jewish lawyer was treated somewhat differently due to his refusal to simply hate and define his situation as simply and example of good vs evil, or black vs white. He knew that these guards were to a large degree following orders, that they were too scared to disobey and start a revolt against Hitler.

I listened to the near death experience of Ms. Anita Moorjani yesterday evening and I believe that she did a great job of explaining that our lives do have off the scale value.

Woman On Her Death Bed: "The Secret To Living A Life of Purpose & Meaning" | Anita Moorjani

No. A human life has no value by itself. The value of a human life comes from it being lived properly.
In a way you have a valid point because the negative or scary near death experience accounts do add weight to the idea that we had better learn the important lessons, number one being to love others, and generally be grateful even for the small blessings in our lives.
